This d EV Charger 7kW (Type 2) is a well made solid, feature packed wallbox for everyday EV charging, offering up to *6–32A (230V) output with compatibility with Model Y and other BEV/PHEVs. Setup is nice and straightforward, with a Type 2 connector, 7.5m length cable, and smart convenience provided via its app controls. Also reassuringly safety is a highlight due to an integrated Type A RCD (30mA AC + 6mA DC), plus IP54 weather resistance for reliable outdoor mounting. It also has RFID support and an attractive and smart black finish. All in all, in my opinion this is an excellent charger.
I’ve been using this 7kW Type 2 EV and it has proven to be a reliable and well-designed charging solution. Installation was straightforward, and the 7.5m cable provides plenty of flexibility when parking. The charger feels solid and durable, and the sleek black design looks great mounted on the wall without being overly bulky.
A great feature is the companion app, which makes it easy to monitor charging sessions, adjust charging current from 6A to 32A, and schedule charging during off-peak electricity hours. The RFID functionality is also a useful addition, preventing unauthorized use and giving extra control over who can access the charger.

A sleek looking wall mounted EV Charger that comprises 7.5m Type 2 Cable with PEN Protection.
The unit is smooth on all sides making it ideal for hanging in an outside location. It has no lines lumps or dips to attract dust dirt and other detritus. It can be easily cleaned with a quick wipe making it very easy to maintain its good look.
It looks remarkably easy to install but could be done by a professional quickly and so probably cheaply.
Once in place it’s just a case of connecting it to the car.
The wall box comes with Type A RCD 30mA and can be used for charging almost any make of EV car.
It comes in a variety of cable lengths so it’s easy to choose which is needed for the particular location. It can equally be used in a garage, or on a driveway.
It comes with a companion app to monitor how it charges and can adjust charging current from 6A to 32A, and be used to schedule charging during off-peak electricity hours if required.
It also contains comprehensive instructions along with pads or rawlplugs to help with attaching the unit to a wall.

I had my electrician install this a fortnight ago and have been holding off on writing a review per my obligations as a Vine participant to give it a thorough testing schedule. First of all, this thing is amazing – it’s a fast charger and works FAR better than the drip chargers that rely connecting to a standard wall socket. Obviously you need a professional to install it, we have all of our electrics in the outdoor cupboard and the electrician mounted this outside and drilled through the bricks – perfect job, he said it was very straightforward.
This is a smart looking charger – so smart that I’ve tasked my partner with figuring out a way to hide it from the street view – so we’re going to install some hanging plants in front of it so nobody will see it and try to nick it lool.
This is very modern and the cable is super duper long – 7.5 metres is about 25 feet, plenty of cable, so long that I can actually park my EV on the road and the cable will reach it from it’s location. This is durable and well made and exceptional build quality. I love the app, you can keep track of all sorts of statistics and how much leccy it’s using, even change the current! I’m with a certain electric company that allows cheaper rates at night so I can change the charging schedule to make the most of the cheapest rates.
I’m no expert in electrics but all of this seems safe and perfect to use. It’s rain proof and designed to handle water from rain with IP54 waterproofing – haven’t had any rain since we installed it at the beginning of the 1st heatwave of the summer, but I’m sure it will be fine.
This is really perfect – if you have a car that takes a Type 2 then this is for you! Yes it’s expensive at first glance but it saves a lot of time charging and time is money – well worth it and great value!
great quality charger, works as intended, easy installatio
Fitted this charger at home beside the driveway to make overnight charging much more convenient, especially after switching to a plug-in hybrid used for daily commuting. It has become part of the evening routine to just plug in when parking up, rather than relying on public chargers or slow socket charging. The cable reach works well for different parking positions, which has helped when visitors park in front of the house as well. Using the app has made it easy to start and stop charging without needing to go outside, and adjusting the charging schedule has helped fit it around cheaper off-peak hours. The unit itself sits neatly on the wall and feels solid in daily use, even in wet weather. Charging has been consistent and predictable, which has removed a lot of the usual hassle around keeping the car ready for longer trips.
A solid well made ready to install value for money ECC with app interactivity
We’ve been serious considering purchasing an electrical car and have been on several test drives, so we were eager to review this item
A really nicely presented 7kw charging wall box (made in China) which is supported by
two companion apps Tuya or Smart life which allows you to control the charging time and rate. Bear in mind though the system only runs on 2.4Ghz so you will need a compatible router.
We’ve had to wait to have it fitted as we needed additional work on our household fuse box — re an additional breaker. We had been advised that the EV charge point require a dedicated circuit under the UK Wiring Regulations BS 7671 and it is ‘Notifiable Work’ under Part P of Building Regulations, therefore it must be signed off and certified by a registered electrician.
On installation our electrician was very complimentary about the item and having fitted EV points on regular basis he said for the price and the interactively especially the RFID tags made this wall box very good value. The sliding detachable body and the pre-wired input cable made his said job a lot easier.
The main box features a screen at the bottom which even in bright sunlight is clear to read. The charging rate is show clearly in KW and Kw/hr and is easy to understand. One of the best features though is the companion app — although it does cover a myriad of other devices it is easy to use which makes it easy to monitor charging sessions, adjust charging current from 6A to 32A, and schedule charging during off-peak electricity hours. The RFID functionality is also a useful addition (as mentioned above) preventing unauthorised use and giving extra control over who can access the charger.
Measuring approx 30cm x 21xm with only a short profile of 10cm it doesn’t get in the way but you have to be careful where you position the box especially if you’ve purchased the shorter 7.5m charge cable — it might be worth considering where you are going install the box and the distance to your charge point on your car prior to purchasing

A well-designed home EV charger packed with useful smart features
After using portable chargers for a while, I wanted something permanently installed that offered a little more convenience, and this wallbox has been a great upgrade. The unit feels well made with a clean, modern design that does not look out of place on the side of the house. The 7.5 metre cable is a particularly good choice, giving plenty of flexibility when parking without feeling unnecessarily bulky. The detachable design also looks like it would make installation and future servicing much easier.
The smart features are genuinely useful rather than gimmicky. The companion app allows you to monitor charging sessions, adjust the charging current and schedule charging overnight to make the most of cheaper electricity tariffs. The display on the unit itself is bright and easy to read even outdoors, showing charging information clearly at a glance. The LED status light is also handy, letting you see from a distance whether charging is in progress or complete.
Safety has clearly been given plenty of attention. Built-in Open PEN protection, integrated Type A RCD with DC protection, RFID access and weather-resistant construction all provide reassurance for daily outdoor use. It feels like a charger designed for long-term reliability rather than simply meeting the basic requirements. The cable and connector also feel robust and easy to handle, even during regular use.
This charger combines practical features, strong safety credentials and convenient app control in a package that feels premium without becoming overly complicated. Whether you are charging overnight every day or simply topping up a few times each week, it offers a dependable and user-friendly experience that should suit most Type 2 electric vehicles very well.

I had this installed by a local electrician and they were impressed with the quality of the system and the ease of fitting. They advised on the advantages of siting the box and cable and this was an additional benefit of having it professionally done.
Once installed and the app loaded on your mobile, its such a simple and easy task to keep track of setting up the charging timers, the power level and lots of other features. Very handy for when you have off-peak rates and solar panels and batteries.
Although the panel is safely secured in a gated property, the RFID function is an additional security feature.
The level of security and protection offered by this charger is very impressive, coupled with the features offered by the mobile app.
I have not found any problems with this charger and I am impressed with the quality offered. Having had it professionally installed and tested, I have every expectation that I have made the right choice.
