Having used a few different manual pump foaming spray bottles I thought I’d give this powered version a try. It’s a decent size for covering a medium sized vehicle without the need to refill halfway through and the battery lasts long enough for a few uses before needing topped up. The overall build quality is middle of the road, it’s not a premium product but it doesn’t feel properly cheap and nasty so will see how long it lasts. It’s easy to charge with the USB C connection on the handle and a 4 LED charge indicator showing how much charge you have left.
It works by using a tiny battery powered compressor in the lid which starts up when you fully push the lever down and lock it in place building up pressure until it automatically shuts off once it reaches the correct pressure, you then gently push the lever down to start spraying and the compressor kicks in now and again to build up the pressure. The spray is similar to the manual versions giving a good even coating of foam, I used Autoglym Polar Blast to test it and it worked well producing a nice thick layer.
It’s definitely a labour saver when it comes to spraying foam without a pressure washer and it lasts a good amount of time, it is quite loud though similar to a tyre inflator and the battery is housed in the handle which makes it unstable when storing it empty as it falls over quite easily, it’s worth a buy if you prefer foaming up without a pressure washer but are fed up hand pumping the pressure to use it. It’s understandably a bit more expensive than the manual types but you’re paying for the convenience of an electric compressor.
Game-Changer for Accessibility! Simple, Effective, & Saving My Joints
I recently obtained this EAFC 2L Electric Foam Sprayer & honestly, some of the critical reviews out there are just being incredibly picky.
If you or someone you care about struggles with dexterity issues, arthritis, or general hand fatigue, this device is absolutely life-changing.
Instead of constantly pumping a manual sprayer or squeezing a trigger until your hand cramps, you just fill it, hit a single push-button, and it sprays flawlessly.
It completely takes the physical pressure out of detailing or cleaning.
It charges perfectly fine neither super fast nor slow, just standard.
There is a 4-light display to show the charge status. The manual doesn’t explain this very well, but you basically just want to leave it on charge until all 4 lights are fully illuminated to max it out.
So far, the battery easily has enough juice to tackle a few cars back-to-back, though I haven’t fully pushed it to its absolute limit yet.
The guidance manual tells you to make sure your solution mix is correct, but frustratingly, it doesn’t actually give you a specific ratio formula. My 5L car soap didn’t have clear instructions for an electric sprayer either.
To be safe, I tried a 50/50 mix of water and car soap, and as you can see from the video, it worked perfectly! It produced a thick, satisfying snow foam blanket that clung brilliantly to the car.
IMPORTANT SAFETY
WARNING
Please don’t skip this, as a lot of people don’t read the manual! Because this is an automatic electric sprayer, it builds up serious internal pressure.
Before you unscrew the top to refill or empty the bottle, you MUST pull out the square rubber bung/valve on the side to release the built-up air.
If you try to force it open while it’s still pressurized, you’re going to have a mess or damage the threads. Pop the bung first, let it hiss out, and then open it safely.
Don’t let the minor complaints deter you. For anyone looking to make car washing easier on their body, this is worth every single penny. It turns a chore back into a quick, painless hobby.
Highly recommended!
I washed a 6m panel van with it, I used halfords concentrated snow foam which you mix at 100ml of foam to 500ml water. The entire van required only 1 refill, coverage was excellent, the foam was thick. I have a manual pump of the same size and the foam from this EAFC device is in a different league., its as good as a snow foam gun attached to a jet wash.
I was surprised how light it was even when filled with water. The battery was fully charged when i started, i washed the panel van and a car with it and only used about a quarter of the battery. It does make a noise when using but no different to a jet washer.
Very impressed with it, my only gripe is the bottom of the bottle isnt flat, it has indents which are meant to be like legs for it but it just makes it unstable, so be careful when putting in the snow foam as it can easily tip over.
Great quality game changing tool for car care
A truly fantastic product, that has helped me transform my car care routine.
I am reliant on petrol station jet washes to keep my car clean, however, have a bit of an obsession when it comes to detailing and keeping the paint in great condition.
As a result, I’ve struggled along with using these facilities only as and when needed, borrowing friends and families driveways to do my proper cleans.
The electric foam sprayer is a game changer, I can now use my own chemicals instead of relying on the very diluted stuff provided by the machines. This means I get a very effective pre wash stage and there’s minimal contaminants on the paint when I do a contact wash.
The sprayer has a 2l capacity, which is more than sufficient for my 5 door hatchback. By way of it being a handheld, battery powered, portable sprayer, you won’t get the kind of spray or coverage that you would with even an entry level home jet wash. That said, the important part is that it does have enough battery and power to cover a car in pre wash though you do have to spray closer to the car in windy conditions.
The spray pattern can be adjusted and the kit comes with different nozzles and also some spares to keep the sprayer going if damaged.
Overall, a fantastic product at the price point and one that seems much better built than previous iterations of foam sprayers I’ve tried.
This is a battery-powered handheld foam sprayer with a 2L tank and a USB-C rechargeable pump inside, designed to apply cleaning foam to surfaces without any manual pumping. Fill the tank with your chosen foaming solution, press the trigger, and it does the rest.
Where it earns its keep is on jobs where a pressure washer would be overkill. In my case, that means external windows and uPVC frames around the house. Dragging out the pressure washer and hose reel for a quick foam application is more effort than the job warrants, and there is always the concern of aiming too much pressure at a window seal or driving water inside. This tool avoids all of that, delivering a gentle even coating with no risk to the glazing.
For anything larger, the calculation shifts. I still reach for the pressure washer on the car because the volume of work suits it better. If you already own one, keep using it for vehicles. If you do not, this could serve as a lighter option for occasional car cleans, just accept it will take longer.
Output pressure sits around 130psi, and the noise level in use is comparable to a portable tyre inflator. Not silent, but nothing shocking either. Battery runtime lands around 30 minutes on a charge, plenty for one side of my house’s windows in a session before it needs a top up.
Build quality is reasonable for the money. Nothing feels flimsy, the tank clicks in and out cleanly, and the trigger action is consistent. Priced in line with other rechargeable garden and cleaning gadgets, so not cheap but fair for the category.
For the right jobs, a lovely bit of kit that saves faff, is easy to use and so far shows no sign of leaking. Just match it to appropriate tasks.
EAFC 2L Electric Foam Sprayer, 2 L Battery Powered Car Cleaning Kit with USB Rechargeable for Car Wash Home Garden Clean Detailing Snow Foam Gun High Pressure Wash:
I’m relatively new to the use of snow foam and have been using a manual pump snow foam bottle. Seeing this electric one available through the Amazon Vine Programme I didn’t hesitate to give it a try.
It is just under double the price of my manual sprayer which I think is pretty good considering the additional cost of the motor, battery, charging and electrics involved. The overall quality is good and doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy, while it does produce a good steady flow of foam.
A quick press of the trigger will give a short spray and shut off, while constant pressure on the trigger gives continuous spray.
The nozzle is adjustable and serviceable with spares included in the bag containing the charge cable. The adjustability allows for easy controlled foam application to door jams, sills, boot and bonnet gullies. A clearly identifiable tab on the side can be pulled to release pressure before opening.
I operation it isn’t silent. The sound from the sprayer is roughly the same as a battery operated tyre inflator which isn’t terrible at all.
Whilst the bottle is black, a opaque white viewing window runs top to bottom for viewing the fill level when filling.
Overall I’m really delighted with the sprayer and it certainly exceeded my expectations.
If I had to find fault with it then I could nitpick as to the USB charging socket rubber cover being too fiddly for big fingers, and having only one level viewing window only works when the lid is off while filling, had it had another viewing window the other side to let light in, then levels could be easily viewed while the lid is on. Nonetheless that’s just nitpicking and nothing I would deduct stars for.
Thicker foam than my pressure washer foam spraye
This surprised me because compared to using the same cherry foam solution in a pressure washer foam sprayer, out of this it has a thicker consistency*. That’s with a solution i’ve used for a number of years in various different scents.
*See photos where i’ve tried to show the creamy dense nature of it and hold on panels longer too. Obviously a sample size of one with my exact solution and mix ratio plus the current warm temperatures.
The mix i’ve been using is ~3/4″ foam liquid topped up to the shoulder of the bottle with slow filling water. Charging is straightforward with USB C and then it’s just a press tactile lever away from an energetic flow. I do think it’s missing a main on / off button because once charged, the lever is pressable at any time and more than once i’ve idly set it off.
It’s not overly loud during use, the body feels robust in the hand and on a single charge i sprayed two coats of foam on a typical saloon sized vehicle. Single pass on each coat rather than go overly heavy though which didn’t feel needed.
The one thing i will note is it doesn’t have the reach of a pressure washer foam sprayer. With this you do need to be closer to the target area which could prove a challenge on high-sided vehicles.
This has excellent portability without being too heavy and genuinely impressed with the foam quality carrying grime away well with the heavier density.
Recommended.
