    A decent value optio
I wasn’t expecting anything particularly premium for the price, and that’s pretty much what I got. The unit is fairly simple and quite lightweight, but once it’s set up it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I tested it with an iPhone using CarPlay and the setup was surprisingly straightforward. Connected via Bluetooth, tapped CarPlay on my phone, and within seconds all the familiar apps appeared on the screen. There was no messing around with settings or repeated connection attempts, which was nice to see.

During a test drive, the maps worked well and felt responsive. Directions updated quickly and I never found myself waiting for the screen to catch up, which is one of the main things I was concerned about before buying.

The included rear camera takes a bit more effort to install as you’ll need to route the wiring all the way to the back of the vehicle. If you’ve fitted reversing cameras before though, there’s nothing unusual about the process. The image quality isn’t on the same level as a dedicated dashcam, but it’s perfectly adequate for reversing and parking manoeuvres.

Overall, it’s a straightforward product that delivers the main features most people will be buying it for. Easy CarPlay connectivity, responsive navigation and a useful reversing camera make it good value for the money.

    Smoother journeys and happier kids
My ageing Focus has finally stepped into the twenty first century thanks to this 7 inch CarPlay screen. First impression: the panel is bright enough to beat the low winter sun and the touch response feels more like my tablet than the old factory radio buttons.

I bolted it in on a drizzly Sunday while the dog guarded the screws, or stole them, hard to tell. Bluetooth paired in seconds, then my iPhone popped up on the display with maps, messages and Spotify without a single cable dangling across the dash. And the moment my 8 year old yelled “Dad, mind that wheelie bin!” I slipped into reverse, the 1080p camera filled the screen, clear as day even with rain spots on the bumper.

But the real treat is being able to start a podcast in the drive, nip to the shops, and have it continue seamlessly when I’m back in the car, no faffing with menus.

So, smoother commutes, happier kids, less shouting from the rear seats. I’m sold.

    Brilliant addition.
This is a 7″ CarPlay screen from JINHAN and I just think this is a cracking but of tech. Just the whole idea of mirroring a phone through a car and essentially updating the audio system etc without actually having to hardwire anything is amazing.

This particular model works with both Apply CarPlay and Android Auto so you’re covered whether you’re an iPhone lover or an Android enthusiast. You simply connect to the high quality screen via Bluetooth and the world is your oyster. Your car is now your phone. Especially for older cars that don’t have anything other than an old tape-deck this is excellent. Even just for playing music and maps I would pay the money alone.

    Brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersCarplay works a trea
My 10 year old Astra finally got promoted last weekend when I clipped this JINHAN screen to the dash before the Saturday supermarket dash with both kids singing Let It Go in the back. Seven inch IPS panel, 1024 by 600, bright enough to see even when Dundee’s rare sun poked through the clouds.

And pairing was faster than the boy polishing off a packet of crisps, one tap and CarPlay filled the display with maps and a very welcome Spotify queue. The 1080p rear camera surprised me — picture stayed sharp despite half the lens being splattered with muddy puddle spray, though the 5.5 metre lead would be tight in anything bigger than a hatchback. Slight rattle over cobbles because I only bothered with the single sticky pad, I’ll tighten things up later.

So, wireless phone features that just work, a screen that doesn’t wash out and a camera that saves my bumper’s paint, feels like good kit for everyday driving.

    clear display
The touchscreen responds quickly, and the layout is easy for me to navigate while driving. Connecting my phone is straightforward, and once it’s linked, I can use maps, music and calls without any hassle. The screen itself looks bright and clear, which makes it comfortable to use during both day and night.

I also like having the rear camera included. The picture quality is clean enough for me to see what’s behind the car, and it makes parking a lot easier. The Bluetooth and AUX options give me flexibility depending on what I want to use, and the media player works smoothly without freezing or lagging.

For me, the biggest benefit is how it modernises an older car. I get the convenience of CarPlay and Android Auto without needing to replace the whole head unit. It feels stable, reliable and easy to use every day.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersUpdate my car without cost fortune
This car display was straightforward to install and connected to my phone without much effort. The touchscreen responds well, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work smoothly. The display is bright and clear, making maps and music controls easy to see while driving.

The built-in speaker is acceptable, although I mainly use it through my car’s audio system for better sound quality. Overall, it has made using navigation much more convenient in an older vehicle.

The only downside is that the mounting bracket needs to be adjusted carefully to prevent the screen from vibrating slightly on rough roads. The startup time is also a little slower than expected, but once it’s running, everything works reliably. Overall, it’s a worthwhile upgrade without replacing the entire car stereo

Made my old Fiesta feel new
My twelve year old Fiesta suddenly feels modern. I clipped the carplay screen onto the air-vent last Saturday before the weekly run to Tesco and the seven inch IPS panel lit up brighter than the coastal sun that somehow appears only when I’m driving east.

Pairing was painless, one tap and wireless CarPlay filled the 1024 x 600 display with Apple Maps and my half finished Couch to 5K playlist. And because it’s wireless there’s no lead draped over the gearstick, the dog’s tail usually finds those first. Touch response is quick enough that my five year old twins managed to scroll through albums without hammering the screen, probably not recommended but it survived.

Reversing into a tight bay by the promenade, the 1080p camera swung on automatically. Picture stayed clear even with sea spray dotting the lens, though the 5.5 metre cable might be short for a Transit.

So, solid build, crisp image, easy fit, stacks of functionality for far less than a whole new head unit. I’m chuffed.

A great way to add a modern touch to an older ca
I have an older model car that has no mod cons for playing music, maps etc. (just a radio and cd player) so I thought this would be a great, inexpensive way to update the car without having to have any work done to it. To start off with, the instructions for installation are pretty straightforward and you can connect it a few different ways, such as Bluetooth, auxiliary or just playing through the screens speakers. Because my car is so old and doesn’t have any of the fancier options, I opted for tuning it into the FM radio to play it through the car’s speakers. It way pretty easy to set up and automatically connects to my phone whenever I get into the car. The responsiveness of the screen isn’t the best which can be on the odd occasion a little frustrating, however it’s not too bad and overall it doesn’t take long to type in what you want (I think it also can be voice controlled but I haven’t set that up yet). The appearance and brightness of the screen is pretty clear and the screen is a decent size without taking up too much room on the dashboard. The sound quality is good enough, however it does have to be turned up quite loudly for everyone to hear it in the back of the car but that may just be because of how I’ve got it connected. My only slight issue I have found is that on the very odd occasion it will lose it’s Bluetooth connection to your phone momentarily and then reconnect, not a huge deal but I would think that may be a problem if you are using the sat nav feature in an unfamiliar place when all of a sudden it turns off. Overall I think this is a great way to update an older car and Im pretty happy with it.
