RECAP after M1 motorway was closed due to ‘cow on the carriageway’

The M1 has fully reopened in both directions after there was a "cow on the carriageway."

The busy motorway has reopened between The Birches and Portadown[1] after the earlier incident on Tuesday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised that the M1 has now re-opened in both directions between The Birches and Portadown."
