M8 M74 and M77 delays as heavy rain causes rush hour chaos in Glasgow

Congestion is building on the M8 in both directions, with eastbound traffic queuing from Junction 27 at Paisley[1] through to Junction 17 at Charing Cross, and westbound traffic slow between Junction 12 at Riddrie and Junction 17. ?CONGESTION UPDATE ?15:55 ?Heavy rain and surface water are causing some delays on Glasgow's motorway network.

It comes after earlier disruption on the network this morning, with motorists now being urged to allow extra time for journeys, drive to the conditions and be prepared for continued delays while the bad weather[4] persists.
