M62 Eastbound: Long delays and lane closures due to crash

The area affected is the M62 Eastbound from J25 A644 Wakefield Road (Brighouse) to J26 M606 J1 (Chain Bar). As of around 8.30am, all traffic is being temporarily held with traffic reported as "stationary". This is due to a crash.

Average speed is said to be 5mph. J25 this morning (Image: Highways England) There is congestion to J24 A629 (Ainley Top).

Lanes three and four are closed.

At around 9:30am, the AA said that there was also a broken down vehicle on M62 Eastbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J24 A629 (Ainley Top).
