M6: ‘Severe delays increasing’ after reported motorway crash

According to reports made to the AA at around 9am on Saturday, June 13, the motorway was 'partially blocked' in a southbound direction - with all lanes said to have stopped at roughly 10.30am. This is largely impacting commuters between Junction 36 towards Kirkby Lonsdale and Junction 35 at Carnforth. At the time of writing, the AA has stated that traffic is stationary as a result of the crash and 'severe delays' of 15 minutes are thought to be increasing.

According to the latest map references, the focus of congestion is along the motorway near Burton-in-Kendal and Holme.

An average speed of 5mph has been reported for those caught in the disruption.
