Bought this as a budget granny charger to keep my EV topped up before I could get my dedicated charger installed. I was quite surprised to find that based on my usage this is actually charges my car enough during the few hours of cheap leccy I get. However, there’s no way to set a cut off time.
You can set a delay for the charging to start (but I can manage that with my car anyway) but unless you physically unplug it, it will keep charging until the car is full. I don’t want to keep my car at 100% all the time and I don’t want to charge beyond the cheap hours so I had to manually unplug it at 5:30am. My dedicated type 2 charger now gives me more control over the scheduling but this plug now lives in my boot as a backup (or so I can emergency charge at a friends house should the need ever arise).
This charger really is plug and play. I am satisfied I got value for my money. The cable was the right length with out too much excess for my needs and there is a convenient storage/carry bag included too. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.
