This is an impressive car stereo for my older vehicle, and it’s completely modernised my driving experience without feeling overly complicated to install or use.
The performance is smooth and responsive. Apps like navigation, music streaming, and Bluetooth all run without noticeable lag, and the interface feels much closer to a modern tablet than a traditional car radio.
Wireless CarPlay work very well. Once connected, the phone integration is seamless. The maps, calls, and music all appear clearly on the screen, and voice control makes it safer and more convenient while driving. This alone is a huge improvement over the previous stereo.
The display touchscreen is bright and easy to read, even in daylight, and the touch response feels accurate. It makes navigation and media control straightforward. Sound quality is also reliable. The built-in amplifier provides decent power, and the EQ settings allow some useful tuning depending on speaker setup.
The bluetooth connectivity is stable for calls and music, and steering wheel controls continue to work, which keeps things convenient while driving. The Wi-Fi functionality makes it flexible, allowing app installation and updates, and GPS navigation works reliably both online and offline.
It’s a strong all in one stereo. It brings modern features, good performance, and much better usability compared to older units.
I have an older volkswagen and this carplay has transformed my older car into a modern interior. I want to do it mainly for entertainment and so far it has been working great. The seven inch monitor makes the whole drive feel more entertaining and I like getting in starting the car and seeing navigation and playlist ready on the screen instead of all the time relying on my phone mounted somewhere on the dash. The GPS has been useful as it works both online and offline and it has the maps available which is useful especially on longer drives or when there is no internet. The Wi-Fi allows me to get all the apps and updates and make the system feel more flexible than the older standard radio. The Bluetooth function allows me to have hand free calls and I always like the fact that I can control the music and navigation through the steering wheel which makes it way more natural while driving. The sound quality is very good as it has the EQ options and the good thing is that it supports the reversing camera so I can park easier in smaller places. The installation process was not too difficult and so far I’m happy with how this unit performs.
