A Reliable PC Sound Upgrade
I must admit I have always gone for Creative sound cards, right back to the original Sound Blaster. Over the years I have gone through various cards in their range, cards like Audigy, Audigy 2, along with the old style high end FX Pro cards that came with a huge size control unit that sat on your desk. I can confidently say I have never been disappointed, all have performed without issue along with great driver and software support. I’ve even relied on a Creative card for high quality music production with no detectable lag. So for me this is the company I always turn to for my PC sound requirements.
Here we have what is named a ‘CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy Fx Pro’ sound card, it is not the same card as the older FX Pro but is obviously more modern with later components. The card is Windows 10 and 11 compatible and requires a PCIe slot, the card provides 7.1 channels, but is also suitable for 2 channel headphones too.
I have always found driver support and performance excellent with Creative sound cards, I have no reason to doubt this will be any different. What sets this modern card apart is the inclusion of AutoEQ and the updated Sound Blaster software suite. It makes adjusting the audio profile to specific headphones or room setups quite easy, which is a lot easier than the manual tweaking we had to do previously. The 7.1 virtual surround sound adds an immersive feel to movies and gaming that many built in onboard motherboard audio cannot achieve.
For anyone looking to upgrade their PC sound without it costing a fortune, this card is certainly worth consideration.
