Finally, technology I can afford. While I await my actual installation on my motorcycle, I would like to say how much I appreciate products like this. I have been using GPS units (various mfgrs.) on my motorcycles for many years. I found the technology moves so fast, the units I have are no longer supported and mapping software not updated. I have a factory Apple Carplay unit in my truck and now I can have one for my motorcycles. Having wireless capability to my phone is awesome for the motorcycles. I can just plugin my phone in the tank bag (to keep it charged) and use the GPS software of choice on this device on the handlebars. The unit comes with everything you would need to install on one motorcycle, and at the price listed, you could purchase multiples without breaking the bank. I am really excited to get this installed in time for a fall dual sport trip.
Unit appears to be of good quality and utilizes a 1″ ball type mounting system (compatible with my Ram mounts) so it is a strong and flexible install. I purchased the 5″ screen and it is a perfect size for visibility and for the limited space available on my handlebars. (Yeah, I have a bunch of stuff up there). All included items appear to be good quality, but you could upgrade to better (metal) if you so choose. I saw this item in a review on Youtube and that sold me on this unit (along with the price). Pretty great! performance upgrades aside, this has got to be one of the best upgrade/additions to my bike. screen is bright, it automatically connects (apple carplay). simplifies and makes dealing with map or music so much easier than having phone on a ram mount. phone is smaller and harder to interact with or even see, this is pretty great. 5″ is ideal on my bike. I already have FOBO TPMS caps, the FOBO app is carplay ok so it shows on this unit.
Awesome display for Apple CarPlay. Works great! Easy install and easy to use. Great value for Apple CarPlay on my motorcycle. It goes to my phone automatically, it also lets my phone connect to my helmet speakers. I can make calls on my display with Siri on my Apple CarPlay. Brackets make it easy to install. Now I keep my phone on my bag, no need for an additional phone holder on my bars. Touch screen works well, and then brightness automatically turns for day/dark. Fits well inside my small air deflector.
Nice Navigation Addition to my Motorcycle I am highly pleased with this item. I use it mostly for the map feature, which has been working flawlessly. The item has wireless integration with my smartphone that works well. Although my motorcycle shakes, the Camecho takes it like a champ with no flutter or interruption in service. The mount holds it sturdy. Nice bright screen.
Great unit at a good price After three rides totaling 10-ish hours in temperatures in the 80s & 90s there have been no issues. The unit works great. I was afraid with the cheap price would come buggy performance, but so far it’s working great. The clamp holds tight and the unit hasn’t moved. I can easily use the touch screen with my gloves. My only complaint is the screen size makes the small text a little difficult to read. A 7″ screen would be much better.
