An Excellent Video Capture Card which Converts Several Video Formats!
As a Professional Stage & Lighting Technician, Sound & Studio Engineer, Professional Audio-Visual Production Specialist, DJ and Musician I work with a Wide variety of video gear which require the signal to be captured via a video capture card and then sent to my MacBook via USB! This Video Capture card works perfectly for these types of situations!
The first thing I noticed about this particular video capture card is the fact that it is made of metal which I totally am impressed with! I do like my devices to have a metal chassis as in my opinion they seem to last longer and are definitely more durable! This capture card also comes with a USB to USBC cable which you can use to connect to your laptop or desktop!
The great thing about this particular video capture card is that it accepts HDMI as one of the inputs as well as S-Video & AV/RCA! Therefore this makes this product very versatile in terms of a 1080p video capture card!
For my review I actually took an old VHS Camcorder Feed and connected it to this Video Capture Card via AV/RCA Connections! I have to say that I was impressed at the output of this product and its ability to convert the signal over to my MacBook with no issues! The Audio & Video did not show any anomalies or issues of any kind!
Overall I have to say that I am extremely pleased by this video capture card and am therefore rating it five stars!
Absolutely great value for a feature packed box, not just a capture card!
This converter box ended up having A LOT more features than I originally expected! I had planned to use it as a simple capture card, and it does that portion alone very well. Simple plug and play and we use it through our live feed software to LED walls in our concert house. But it can also take feeds from other sources like older composite and S-video feeds AND can relay it to another HDMI feed if needed. The unit is a nicely machined and beveled metal body. A tremendously good value for how many things you can do with it!
