I installed this in an older SUV. I didn’t want to spend a fortune replacing the factory stereo, so this ended up being the perfect solution. Setup was surprisingly easy. I mounted it on the dashboard, plugged it in, connected my phone, and everything was working within minutes.
The display screen is bright, sharp, and very responsive, even during daytime driving. Wireless Apple CarPlay connected easily every time I started the car, which made navigation and music super convenient. I mainly use Google Maps, Spotify, and hands-free calls, and everything runs smoothly.
The video quality of the built in dash cam and rear camera is much clearer than I expected, especially at night. Having both front and rear camera views on the split screen is very useful. The inclusion of the pedestrian detection feature is very thoughtful.
I also appreciate all the audio options. I tested Bluetooth and AUX mode and both sounded great through my car speakers. Steering wheel controls worked perfectly too.
For the price, it offers a lot of features and modernises an older car really well. It’s worth considering if you want CarPlay, cameras, and a better driving experience without replacing your stereo system.

Lo schermo da 10,26 pollici arriva confezionato con cura. Dentro la scatola c’ il manuale di istruzioni e una variet di accessori molto completa che serviranno per l’installazione.
-Due opzioni di montaggio: una base corta con adesivo 3M (solida e leggera) e un braccio allungabile con la ventosa grande per il parabrezza.
-Un disco adesivo supplementare: utile se avete il cruscotto ruvido e la ventosa non fa presa, anche se personalmente la trovo efficace anche senza quella base.
-I cablaggi: l’alimentatore USB per la presa accendisigari dalla lunghezza giusta per sistemarlo bene, cos da non lasciarlo penzolante ( passaggi indicati nel libretto delle istruzioni)
-Cablaggi audio pi piccolo kit con cacciavite e clip per mettere in ordine i fili. ( Passaggi con immagini sul libretto delle istruzioni). Assicuratevi che la vostra auto abbia l’uscita per l’audio.
-Mini camera posteriore da 1080p con cablaggio sufficiente per raggiungere lo schermo dopo aver eseguito l’installazione. Ci sono due adesivi e due coppie di viti per l’installazione (Affidarsi a un elettrauto se non si ha manualit)
-La camera anteriore da 4k installata direttamente sul corpo dello Smart Screen e si pu sollevare in verticale di qualche centimetro
Lo schermo compatibile con Apple CarPlay e Android Auto (bluetooth) per usare mappe, musica, radio, chiamate, messaggi , ricerca vocale ecc. In pi supporta funzioni come AirPlay (per iPhone) e Super Link (per Android). Servono a proiettare sullo schermo la schermata del telefono. Ho potuto provare il Super Link e sinceramente non mi piaciuta questo metodo di connessione. Troppi bug e per niente fluido.
Tra le tipologie di connessione proposte sicuramente pi valida e comoda Car Play o Android Auto perch adattano in modo ottimale le funzioni essenziali come il Google Maps, ricerca vocale e altro, senza dover intervenire distogliendo l’attenzione dalla guida.
Lo schermo intuitivo e sulla schermata principale si vede la data, l’ora e l’indicazione della fascia oraria.
Il collegamento con lo smartphone tramite Bluetooth veloce e la connessione stabile.
Se proprio devo trovare il pelo nell’uovo, direi che potevano anche mettere un Bluetooth di ultima generazione al posto del Bluetooth 5.0, per alla fine funziona bene ed stabile.
La memoria MicroSD inclusa serve solo ed esclusivamente a registrare i video e per le foto della dash cam. I video vengono cancellati ciclicamente in modo automatico. Nel caso voleste intervenire voi a cancellare, purtroppo bisogna farlo selezionando uno alla volta perch non seleziona tutti insieme.
Lo Smart Screen si accende e si spegne in automatico quando si avvia o si spegne la macchina. Quindi non c’ il rischio di dimenticarlo acceso per sbaglio. ( Fate attenzione perch alcuni vecchi modelli di auto anche dopo lo spegnimento, lasciano l’accendisigari, dove si collega lo schermo, funzionante).
Il touch screen del display risponde bene ed abbastanza fluido, durante i test non mi sono trovata bene solo con la connessione super link. In pratica, dallo schermo si clicca su Super Link per Android e si apre il QR code per scaricare un’applicazione gratuita. Ci si connette e si seguono i passaggi per la connessione.
Tasti:
Premendo sul simbolo della fotocamera, lo schermo passa in modalit condivisa, e mostra in tempo reale sia la ripresa della telecamera anteriore sia quella della telecamera posteriore.
Nelle IMPOSTAZIONI si trova tutto quello che serve. Da qui si pu attivare la modalit notturna per regolare la luminosit dello schermo, gestire le connessioni Bluetooth, regolare la risoluzione dei video e attivare la registrazione in loop.
Nelle Impostazioni di sistema si pu gestire la lingua, la data e l’ora, il ripristino delle impostazioni di fabbrica e gli aggiornamenti del firmware.
Molto comodo anche il tasto per regolare o disattivare il volume del “bip” (il feedback sonoro) ogni volta che si tocca il display.
Per quanto riguarda l’audio, il dispositivo ha degli altoparlanti integrati che di per s funzionano decentemente ma chiaro che non possono sostituire la qualit dell’impianto fisso della macchina. Meglio usare subito i cavi in dotazione per collegare lo schermo direttamente all’impianto audio dell’auto.
La cosa che mi fa un po’ storcere il naso sono i troppi cavi, anche se sono essenziali. Per fare un lavoro pulito e organizzato vi dovete mettere con tanta pazienza.
L’utilizzo di Google Maps ( che parte chiaramente dallo smartphone) risulta fluido e chiaro da seguire. Lo Smart Screen compatibile anche con gli assistenti vocali. Con il mio dispositivo Android, mi bastato pronunciare “Hey Google” per le chiamate, per usare Google Maps senza cercare manualmente, per la musica da Spotify o Utube ecc. (se usate un iPhone risponder allo stesso modo con “Hey Siri”).
Considerando il prezzo di vendita , questo schermo offre una buona qualit generale. Non perfetto e richiede un po’ di pazienza per sistemare i fili, ma fa esattamente tutto quello che promette, soprattutto con la connessione Bluetooth.

* the audio routing choices: because this is a portable add-on screen, it needs a way to push your phone’s music and navigation prompts through your car’s actual factory speakers. it offers three ways to do this: a built-in low-power speaker, an fm transmitter (which beams the audio to an empty radio station on your car stereo but can suffer from occasional static hiss), or a physical 3.5mm aux cable. for the absolute cleanest, interference-free audio quality, use the aux cable if your car has an input jack which is what I do.
* dash real estate and line of sight: a 10.26-inch widescreen display is physically quite wide. depending on the geometry of your car’s dashboard and how steeply your windscreen rakes down, mounting this right in the center can occasionally block a bit of your forward road visibility or cover up factory air vents. take a tape measure out to your car to visualize where it will sit before sticking down the mounting bracket.
* microsd card requirement: Use a good one for 4k otherwise you will get constant crashes.
Overall : this is a good alternative to buying a brand-new car stereo system. it modernises an older vehicle by adding wireless navigation, hands-free voice controls, and an integrated dual-lens safety camera setup in one single devices. so far I have been happy with it and it has worked well for me running CarPlay. I have not tried Anroid Auto yet so cannot comment on this.
Tolle Ergnzung fr alternde Autos
Mittlerweile gibt es eine groe Auswahl an Android Auto bzw. Carplay Nachrstlsungen fr ltere Fahrzeuge.
Einerseits Festeinbauten, die das Werksradio ersetzen knnen, dies verursacht aber je nach Fahrzeugmodell Probleme mit Lenkradfernsteuerung und Fahrzeugbedienung.
Auerdem sind dabei natrlich Umbauten notwendig. Einfacher und in vielen Fllen sinnvoller sind daher externe Car-Displays, wie dieses hier.
Krunia ist in diesem Bereich mittlerweile eine bekannte Gre und ich habe schon ein paar Modelle ausprobiert.
Dieses hier hat ein groes 10,26″ Display in sehr breitem Bildseitenverhltnis (24:9). Die Auflsung ist mit 1920×720 sehr hoch und bietet damit eine angenehm scharfe Darstellung. AUch die Helligkeit von 650 cd/m ist sehr hoch. Hier haben andere Modelle eine viel schlechtere Auflsung und Helligkeit.
Zur Montage im Auto liegt ein Saugnapfhalter fr die Scheibe bei, der alternativ auch auf eine Platte genapft werden kann, die wiederrum z.B. aufs Armaturenbrett geklebt wird. Der Saugnapfhalter hat am Saugnapf ein Klappgelenk, einen einstellbaren Arm und am Gertehalter ein Kugelgelenk. Verbunden mit dem Display wird er erfreulicherweise mit einem Standard HR-Anschluss. Alternativ liegt noch ein aufrechter Halter bei, der aufs Armaturenbrett geklebt werden kann. Hier ragt das Display aber je nach Fahrzeug schon sehr in die Windschutzscheibe herein und kann daher die Sicht einschrnken. Dank des Standard HR-Anschlusses lassen sich aber zum Glck ja auch jede Menge fahrzeugspezifische Halter nutzen.
Die gedruckte Bedienungsanleitung ist auch in gutem (!) Deutsch vorhanden, das freut mich sehr.
Mit Strom versorgt wird das Display ber USB-C, empfohlen wird das beiliegende 12V-KFZ-Ladegert mit einem fest-verbauten mehr als 3m (!) langen Kabel. Am Ladestecker befindet sich noch ein USB-A Anschluss mit 5V/1A, Schnellladeprotokolle werden nicht untersttzt, fr die meisten Smartphones gengt das heutzutage nicht mehr. Das Display funktioniert bei mir aber auch ber den Werks-USB Anschluss, einen Akku hat es nicht, sodass das Gert abschaltet, sobald der USB bzw. 12V-Anschluss nicht mehr mit Strom versorgt wird. Bei Autos mit Dauerstrom auf dem Zigarettenanznder muss man das Gert selbst ausschalten, um die Batterie nicht leerzuziehen.
Am Ladegert gibt es keinen Schalter, aber oben auf dem Gert befindet sich ein kleiner Taster. Ein kurzer Druck schaltet das Display ab, das Gert verbraucht in diesem Modus aber immer noch 1,7W und das Display wird durch eine Berhrung des Bildschirms auch direkt wieder eingeschaltet. Erst mit einem langen Druck fhrt das Gert ganz herunter und verbraucht dann auch keinen Strom mehr. Fr das erneute Anschalten gengt wieder ein kurzer Druck. Einsatzbereit ist das Gert nach circa 12 Sekunden, die automatische Verbindung mit Android Auto dauert dann noch ein paar Sekunden lnger.
Die Bildschirmhelligkeit lsst sich ber einen Regler einstellen, einen Helligkeitssensor fr automatische Einstellung gibt es zwar nicht, aber immerhin einen zeitgesteuerten NAchtmodus, dessen Standardhelligkeit man gesondert einstellen kann. Das reicht fr mich.
Der einstellbare Bildschirmschoner (10 Sekunden, 30 Sekunden, 1 Minute) schaltet das Display nach der angegebenen Zeit ab, allerdings auch whrend z.B: Android Auto luft. Das ergibt also nur eingeschrnkt Sinn.
Unntig verwirrend finde ich die Besttigungsdialoge in den Einstellungen des Car-Displays, die links “Besttigen” in roter Schrift anzeigen und rechts “Abbrechen” in blauer Schrift. Grade beim kurzzeitigen Bedienen whrend der Fahrt tippe ich hier fast immer das Falsche.
Fr die Audioausgabe gibt es vier Optionen:
– Integrierter Lautsprecher (eher fr Notflle geeignet)
– FM-Transmitter (braucht laut Beschreibung das Original-Ladekabel)
– AUX-Anschluss via Klinkenkabel
– Bluetooth (hierbei verbindet sich das Smartphone parallel mit dem Fahrzeug)
Die Ton Wiedergabe erfolgt beim AUX-Kabel erfreulicherweise vllig ohne Knackser oder Strgerusche, insbesondere auch beim Einschalten des Displays. Leider ist der Ton aber etwas dumpf und sehr basslastig. Fr die Navigation macht das nix, aber die Musikwiedergabe leidet darunter etwas, schade.
Die Verbindung ber Bluetooth funktioniert aber einwandfrei und ist zu bevorzugen, wenn das Fahrzeug diese Option hat. Insbesondere lsst sich dann auch die Lenkradfernbedienung benutzen um Titel weiterzuschalten, den Sprachassistent zu starten etc.
Neben der Verbindung mit Android Auto oder Apple Carplay kann das Car-Display auch Medien per Airplay wiedergeben oder das iPhone Display spiegeln. Unter Android muss man dafr die EveLink App nutzen, dann funktioniert das aber auch dort.
Eine wichtige Anmerkung in Bezug auf Android Auto, da das Problem auch in anderen Rezensionen bereits Thema war: Unter Android 16 kann es bei Android Auto zu Verbindungsabbrchen kommen. Das liegt nicht konkret am Display, das haben alle derartigen Displays. Es gibt dafr aber einen Fix, der automatisch auf das Display bertragen wird, sobald dieses einmalig mit der EveLink App verbunden wird. Hierzu gibt es auch auf der Webseite von Krunia eine Beschreibung.
Zu Android-Auto schreibe ich jetzt ansonsten hier nicht viel, da Funktionalitt und Bedienung bekanntlich unabhngig vom verwendeten Car-Display sind. Durch die breite Displayform lsst sich die Navigationsanzeige auf jeden Fall perfekt nebeneinander mit der Media-Player oder Nachrichten-Ansicht nutzen. Die Anordnung lsst sich wie gehabt ber die Einstellungen anpassen.
Um im Android Auto oder Carplay Modus Helligkeit, Lautstrke etc. des Car-Displays bedienen zu knnen, lsst sich mit der Funktion “Assistive Touch” ein kleiner Punkt frei auf dem Display positionieren, der ber der Android Auto Oberflche liegt und mit dem z.B. auch in die Hauptoberflche gewechselt werden kann, ohne Android Auto beenden zu mssen.
Eine Besonderheit bei diesem Car-Display ist die integrierte 4K-Dashcam, die sich an der Rckseite des Gertes befindet. Der Kamerawinkel kann in einem gewissen Bereich frei eingestellt werden, um die beste Perspektive erfassen zu knnen. Ergnzend liegt auch noch eine Full-HD Rckfahrkamera bei. Diese kann am Nummernschild oder innerhalb oder oberhalb der Heckscheibe montiert werden und wird ber ein langes Kabel mit dem Car-Display verbunden. Fr die Kameramontage liegt leider keine Anleitung bei, sodass mir unklar ist, wofr das am Stecker der Kamera hinten ebenfalls befindliche rote Kabel gedacht ist. Ich kenne das sonst von Rckfahrkameras, dass diese fr automatische Umschaltung mit dem Rckfahrlicht verbunden werden, habe mich das ohne Anleitung aber nicht getraut.
Sobald das Car-Display startet werden beide Kameras (sofern die hintere verbunden ist) in getrennten Videodateien aufgezeichnet. Die Segmentlnge lsst sich einstellen (1 Minute, 2 Minuten, 5 Minuten), ebenso die Auflsung (1080p, 2,5K, 4K) und ob der Ton mit aufgezeichnet werden soll. Was sich leider nicht einstellen lsst, ist eine automatische Lschung, die Aufzeichnung erfolgt bis die Speicherkarte voll ist, mitgliefert wird eine 64GB Karte. Auch lsst sich die automatische Aufzeichnng nicht abschalten oder temporr stoppen, verhindern kann man diese nur durch Entfernen der Speicherkarte.
Die Qualitt der Videos ist ok, aber ich betrachte das Ganze eher als ein nettes Gimmick und nicht als einen Ersatz fr eine vollwertige Dashcam. Dafr fehlen dann auch Funktionen wie die Einblendung der Geschwindigkeit ins Video oder dem automatischen Persisiteren von Videos nach Erschtterungen etc. Auch Position und Format des Zeitstempels lassen sich nicht einstellen.
Unterm Strich ein wirklich gelungenes Car-Display fr Android Auto und Carplay mit ein paar netten Extras, die ich persnlich aber gar nicht gebraucht htte.
Una seconda vita per le auto senza schermo integrato
Ho ordinato questo monitor CarPlay portatile per la vecchia Ford Fiesta di mia moglie. Non avendo un sistema multimediale integrato, utilizzava sempre il cellulare come navigatore appoggiandolo sul cruscotto o fissandolo con supporti improvvisati. Oltre ad essere poco pratico, finiva spesso per distrarsi durante la guida. Con questo schermo il problema stato risolto completamente.
La confezione davvero ricca di accessori e permette diverse modalit di installazione. Lo schermo da 10,26 pollici ha una dimensione ottima: sufficientemente grande da vedere bene mappe e informazioni senza risultare ingombrante. Una volta collegato, Apple CarPlay e Android Auto funzionano in modalit wireless e la connessione con lo smartphone risultata rapida e stabile.
L’utilizzo quotidiano molto semplice. Google Maps, Spotify, chiamate, messaggi e comandi vocali sono immediatamente disponibili sul display, evitando di dover prendere continuamente in mano il telefono. Anche il touch screen risponde bene ai comandi e la navigazione tra i menu fluida.
La dashcam anteriore integrata in 4K il particolare che me lo ha fatto ordinare. Registra automaticamente tutto ci che accade durante la guida e pu diventare davvero utile in caso di incidenti o situazioni poco chiare dove stabilire responsabilit e dinamiche non sempre semplice.
Per quanto riguarda la telecamera posteriore inclusa, abbiamo preferito non installarla. Il passaggio dei cavi richiede infatti una certa manualit e per ottenere un risultato pulito e senza cavi penzolanti consiglio di affidarsi ad un elettrauto che possa effettuare un lavoro fatto a regola d’arte.
L’audio pu essere gestito in diversi modi e personalmente ho trovato molto comodo il collegamento all’impianto dell’auto. Gli altoparlanti integrati funzionano discretamente, ma sfruttare quelli della vettura offre ovviamente un risultato migliore.
Lo schermo si accende e si spegne automaticamente insieme all’auto, se avete una vettura di qualche anno fa e non volete spendere cifre importanti per sostituire l’autoradio originale, questo dispositivo rappresenta una soluzione intelligente per avere CarPlay, Android Auto e una dashcam integrata senza modificare l’auto.

I have decided to install this in my old car because I want more than features but I do not want the hustle of replacing the factory unit and what I like the most is that this one gives a big screen view for carplay and also android auto which I use quite often mainly for maps, music and the messages which makes driving significantly easier. The build in 4k dash cam is a great advantage as well because it means one less separate device stuck on the windscreen and also having the rear camera which is included makes it even more useful for parking and reversing in tight spaces and also this saves me so much time. Because I drive every day to work and back and also during the weekend I go with my family away. The split screen feature is helpful because I can keep navigation on while seeing the camera view on the same display. The fact that it comes already with the memory card is helpful because it is ready to use sooner and the portable setup is good for my old car and I also have the option of moving this unit around anytime I want to because the whole process is very simple. The screen is bright enough and I can see everything properly and it is responsive even when my kids like to open apps and play with it and because it brings navigation and also camera features and phone connectivity which is wireless by the way in one device makes it a good product.
I previously had a smaller and cheaper display, but I felt like I wanted something bigger and more modern. I bought this Krunia display and I’m extremely happy with it overall, and it has honestly exceeded my expectations. The screen itself feels very premium, with good brightness, a great touch response, and it’s very responsive in general. It’s quite large, but not too tall, so it doesn’t block the view through the windscreen. Everything runs smoothly, and switching between apps is seamless as well.
The dash cam function is also excellent. The quality is very good, with 4K resolution, so it actually made my previous dash cam unnecessary. The AI pedestrian detection feature is really interesting, it feels quite futuristic, but it’s also genuinely useful.
The split-screen feature is also brilliant. I can keep the camera feed visible on the display at all times, and switching between the front and rear camera is just a simple swipe on the screen. Personally, I usually leave the rear camera on all the time, which is really convenient while driving.
The connection to the phone is very fast, most likely thanks to the 5G Wifi connection. It’s extremely convenient not having to deal with cables anymore. I can simply keep my phone in my pocket, get into the car, turn on the ignition, and everything happens automatically: Android Auto starts, Waze opens, and everything is ready to go without any manual interaction.
Overall, it has been a fantastic upgrade for my car, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it works in everyday use.
