Woman in ‘serious condition’ after motorway bridge fall

Merseyside Police were called to junction 2 of the M53 in Moreton at around 6.20pm, following reports of concern for the safety of a woman on the bridge. She was subsequently flown to hospital via air ambulance. Police are reaching out for anyone with information about what happened.

Junction 2 of the M53 has now reopened following closures in both directions while emergency services were in attendance.
