Good Protectio
I got this engine cover for my husbands large work van. The cover fits brilliantly on his van, and would easily fit even larger vans than his.
The elasticated hems ensures that it fits very well, and the material is quite thick, with reflective edges. My husband usually parks under a tree which covers his van in all kinds of mucky stuff, and this cover has been very effective in preventing this from happening.
Happy to recommend.
Excellent fit for qashqai
Fits the front of my Nissan qashqai perfectly. Stops birds pecking the rubber off the wiper blades and scratching the bonnet with their claws as they did with my previous car. Well worth the price paid compared to constantly having to replace wiper blades and paintwork repairs.
Universal Car Engine Cove
Where this stands out, oddly enough, is that it seems something of an unusual albeit product. I’ve not seen anything like it before, nor can find much in the way of others. Personally I wanted it for when I’m doing engine work and can’t immediately close the bonnet against the elements. Not a common situation, but an inconvenient and occasionally important one.
The stitching looks OK, it’s not particularly tight and there are places where it is a scrambled mess of ends just sort of spaghetti’d together somehow. On the *outside*. It’s the only aspect I don’t particularly have faith in, and it’s an important one unfortunately.
I really appreciate the size of the storage bag, the cover goes back in very easily and I’ve been in more than enough situations where that’s a problem. One car cover I had, never once went back in the bag because it was too tight a fit.
The material is quite good, it’s neither thick nor thin and feels absolutely good enough for the purpose and to last a decent while. 210D Oxford Cloth is what is claimed, and I believe that. The elastic is also very decent, both the part that goes under and the strings which go around the side mirrors although I would have preferred they be adjustable not a simple loop.
The interior is differently textured as well as coloured to the external, so it can be used either way according to the listing. I’d preferred to have had a soft interior which would benefit delicate paintwork, but I’m sure that would have put the price up.
Speaking of which, at 45 this seems kind expensive. The quality is fine, but it’s not a luxury item. Though it’s also better than the cheap covers you see and those are themselves not cheap so I’m not inclined to mark this down for the expense.
