Transense Unveils High-Pressure Tyre Inspection Tool

Transense Technologies plc, through its Translogik division, has launched the TLGX HP, a high-pressure, Bluetooth connected tyre inspection tool for specialist vehicles and aircraft tyres used in demanding, safety-critical environments. The TLGX HP expands the pressure range of the TLGX platform from 150 psi (10 bar) to 350 psi (24 bar), opening new opportunities across high-performance automotive fleets, off-highway machinery and aircraft tyres, where higher tyre pressures and accurate inspection data are essential. The TLGX HP retains the accurate digital tread depth measurement from 0 to 30mm from the standard TLGX range and has the options to include tyre RFID and TPMS communications.

It has been manufactured following the development of a new high-pressure sensing module engineered for durability, accuracy, and reliability in high-pressure conditions. The module has completed 100,000 full-cycle durability tests with repeated pressure up to 377 psi (26 bar), alongside overpressure testing to 500 psi (34 bar), confirming its suitability for demanding operational conditions. TLGX HP key specifications:

  • Measurement Range: 0-320 psi (22 bar)
  • Accuracy: 0.25% FSD
  • Resolution: 0.1 psi (0.0069 bar)

Testing performance:

  • Durability: 100,000 cycles (0-350 psi)
  • Overpressure: 500 psi

The TLGX HP integrates into the wider Translogik TLGX Series, used globally by vehicle fleet operators, tyre suppliers and service centres to digitally capture safety-critical tyre inspection data.

The TLGX family of tools offers a modular and integrated platform for digital tyre inspections. These tools enable technicians to measure tread depth digitally and provide options to incorporate additional features such as pressure measurement, TPMS interrogation, and RFID identification within a single device. By combining these capabilities, technicians no longer need to juggle multiple tools while carrying out vehicle inspections, which significantly streamlines their workflow.

Translogik's integrated approach results in faster and more efficient inspections, enhances traceability of inspection data, and contributes to lower operating costs for organisations. The data collected by the TLGX tools can also be transmitted directly into fleet and tyre management systems, supporting both compliance requirements and predictive maintenance strategies. Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies plc, said: "The launch of the TLGX HP reflects growing demand from customers operating specialist vehicles and high-pressure tyre applications who need the same speed, accuracy and digital data capture delivered by the TLGX platform.

"By developing a new high-pressure sensing module and validating it through extensive durability testing, we've expanded the capability of the range while maintaining the reliability and precision our customers expect.

This opens new markets for Translogik and strengthens our position in safety-critical fleet inspection technology."

The TLGX HP forms part of Transense's ongoing product development roadmap, with additional launches planned throughout 2026.
