M5 crash at major junction sparks rush hour chaos

Drivers were stuck in traffic queues after a crash on the M5. One lane was closed southbound on the motorway between Thornfield and the Almondsbury Interchange this morning (Thursday, May 14). National Highways reported delays in the area this morning.

Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M5 Southbound from J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield) to J15 M4 J20 ( Almondsbury Interchange)."

Delays on the M5 cleared by around 9am.
