Pros
Tamao muy compacto y discreto
Indicador LED poco intrusivo, ideal de noche
Instalacin sencilla tipo conectar y usar
A Must-Have for Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Great Value!
I’m thrilled with the CarlinKit MINI Ultra3! It’s a game-changer for anyone tired of dealing with wired connections in their car. Setting it up was a breeze—just plug it in and you’re ready to go with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The connection is fast, stable, and seamless, making every drive more enjoyable.
At 39.99, this device offers amazing value. It eliminates the need for messy wires and makes using your phone’s features in the car super convenient. If you’re looking to upgrade your in-car experience, this is a solid investment that works flawlessly! Highly recommended!
Convenience without clutter, though not entirely without compromise.
There is a certain appeal in removing the constant need to plug a phone into the car every time you set off, and this small adapter aims to resolve exactly that. The idea is simple; to convert an existing wired setup into a wireless one, without altering the car itself. In principle, it is a neat bit of kit, and from what can be gathered through as a for now short term user experience, it generally delivers on that premise with reasonable competence.
The setup process is said to be uncomplicated, requiring only an initial pairing before it begins connecting automatically thereafter. That kind of “fit it and forget it” functionality is where this device appears to earn its keep. Unlike some, once configured, it tends to reconnect reliably when I enter the vehicle, which is precisely what I would hope for in daily use. Positivity is also about the connection stability, with minimal lag during navigation or music playback, though this may vary slightly depending on the car and phone in question.
Compatibility is an important consideration. It only works with vehicles that already support wired smartphone integration, so it is not a universal fix for older systems even if you do have a port for it to be plugged in. For those with the correct setup, however, it appears to integrate cleanly, retaining the original controls and interface without forcing any adjustments to how things are operated. That continuity is quite valuable, as nobody wants to relearn their car’s system simply to avoid a cable.
Build quality seems adequate for something that will largely remain tucked away out of sight. That said, there seems to be an occasional connection delay or the need to reconnect manually, which is worth bearing in mind. It is not entirely flawless, even if it works well most of the time. I’ve had it 3 out 10 times it misbehaved.
It appears to be a practical addition for anyone looking to simplify their inside car setup. The convenience alone makes it appealing, provided expectations remain grounded and one accepts that it may not behave perfectly in every scenario. Maybe the price needs to come down just a tad.
Fantastic way to modernise your car and reduce cable mess
I’m using this adapter to convert my wired CarPlay Pioneer head unit to wireless. This review is specifically based on my experience with an aftermarket head unit.
Firstly, it functions flawlessly. The unit activates CarPlay quickly and the response is as good as using wired CarPlay on my head unit.
The main benefit for me is that as i installed CarPlay into an older car, I have a messy cable running down the centre console as there is no provision for hiding cables.
With this adapter, I’ve been able to ditch all the wiring. Simply plugged this into the usb pigtail that comes off the head unit and hidden it away behind the dash.
The downside of going wireless is that your phone won’t be charged whilst in CarPlay mode. 9/10 times this isn’t an issue for me, but I’ve retained my 12v port so have the option of charging via this if I need to keep my phone topped up.
All in all, this is a fantastic product that has genuinely increased convenience for me and further modernised my car.
Edited to show the interface on my aftermarket uni
High speed and reliable connection.
Using this with an Android phone and it is one of the smallest adapters I’ve tried, but also one of the fastest, the connection is usually established within 2 seconds of the ignition on, and more importantly, remains stable while driving with both navigation and music on, no lagging for phone calls or using Google assistant.
The flush design makes it ideal for my vehicle as the USB port sits within the arm rest enclosure, this sits flat and almost flush making it safer to use the space around it without worrying about knocking it or breaking it.
Currently priced just under 40 makes it extremely good value for money, would definitely recommend.
Latest version of this gadget, works perfectly
This is a very useful device, a wireless dongle to allow you to use Carplay without the annoying cable. Most new units have wireless built in, but if you don’t, this is the gadget for you.
The dongle is tiny and round (it looks like a knob) and blends into the average car interior easily. The connection is strong, as you would expect when it’s only got to reach a few feet. On the initial handshake connection it took about 10 seconds to sync up, although I am using an old android phone so yours may be quicker. When automatically re-connecting after turning the car on (or coming into range) it then takes just a couple of seconds each time.
Data transfer is perfect with no unwanted skipping on audio. I have used this on both Apple carplay and android and it works great. Physical connection is via standard USB-A.
At the price of 40 I have to say this doesn’t seem like a lot for your money, it’s just a tiny bit of plastic and metal. However, it performs as claimed and gets rid of wires permanently. This is one of the latest adapters on the market, hence it’s a little more expensive than older models, which can be had for 25.
As this works flawlessly I am going to have to give it five stars, four if it seems a little expensive to you.
