Great Value Ink That Just Works
I’m really pleased with this ink set. Installation was quick and straightforward, and both cartridges were recognised immediately by my printer with no fuss. The print quality is clear and sharp text comes out crisp, and colours look bright and well-balanced for everyday printing.
What really stands out is the value for money. You get a black and colour cartridge in one pack, and they seem to last well, especially compared to some more expensive options. For home use, schoolwork, or general printing, this does the job perfectly without breaking the bank.
Overall, a reliable and affordable choice that I’d happily buy again.
Reliable everyday printing with good value XL cartridges
I received this through Vine to use for a home printer that gets regular use for documents, returns labels, and the occasional colour print, and so far it’s performed well.
The cartridges slotted in without any fuss and were recognised straight away by the printer, which is always a good sign with compatibles. Ink level tracking also appears to be working as expected, so there’s no guesswork involved. Print quality is surprisingly sharp for a non-original set. Black text comes out crisp with solid coverage, even on smaller fonts, and colour prints show decent vibrancy without obvious banding or streaking. For everyday printing, spreadsheets, forms, and basic images, they do the job convincingly.
In terms of yield, these XL cartridges seem designed to handle a reasonable volume before needing replacement. While I haven’t run them down fully yet, the ink density and consistency suggest they should hold up well for typical home office use. There’s no noticeable smudging once prints have dried, which is important for handling paperwork.
Build quality feels comparable to other compatible cartridges I’ve used. The plastic casing is sturdy enough and the contacts are clean and well aligned. They don’t feel flimsy or poorly finished, which can sometimes be a concern with third-party options.
If I had to point out a downside, colour accuracy isn’t quite as precise as original cartridges when printing photos. It’s fine for casual use, but tones can look slightly off in more detailed images. For standard documents and graphics though, it’s more than acceptable.
Overall, I’m pleased with it and it has done what I expected.
Compatible ink that actually behaves well
I went for these mainly because I was getting through official cartridges far too quickly (lots of printing at home for forms, labels and the usual bits that never seem to stop piling up). I’d tried compatibles before and had that slightly anxious feeling of “will the printer actually accept these or am I about to spend half an hour resetting things”, so I wasn’t expecting much.
These went in first time with no drama at all (which already felt like a win) and were recognised straight away by my Canon printer. The ink level tracking even showed up properly, which I don’t always get with third-party ones, so that immediately took away that usual guessing game.
Print quality has been consistently good. Black text is sharp and clear even on smaller font sizes, and colour pages for basic charts and school-style resources come out clean without patchiness. I did notice (on one slightly more detailed image print) that colours were a touch less accurate than originals, but for everyday use it really doesn’t get in the way.
One small gripe is just that you’re still relying on visual cues rather than fully trusting ink levels long-term (so I keep an eye on print quality near the end), but that’s fairly standard with compatibles anyway.
For the price and how well they’ve behaved, I’d happily stick with these for regular printing. They’re spot on for anyone doing steady home or office-style printing without wanting to overthink it.
Solid budget ink that gets the job done without fuss
I picked these up as a cheaper alternative to the usual branded cartridges, mainly because the printer gets a fair bit of use with work bits and the odd colouring page for my toddler.
Installation was straightforward. Slotted straight in and the printer recognised them without any drama, which is always a relief with third party ink. I was printing within a couple of minutes.
Print quality is perfectly respectable. Black text is sharp enough for documents and the colour prints come out bright and clear for everyday use. Photos are decent too, not professional level, but more than good enough for home printing.
In terms of longevity, they seem to last well so far. I have not run them dry yet, but they are holding up better than some cheaper options I have tried before. For the price, it feels like good value.
Only minor point is that colours can be slightly less rich compared to original cartridges, but it is not something most people will notice unless you are printing high quality images regularly.
Pros
Easy to install and recognised quickly
Good print quality for everyday use
Decent lifespan for the price
Much more affordable than branded options
Cons
Colour depth slightly below original cartridges
Not ideal for high end photo printing
Overall, a reliable choice if you want to keep printing costs down without sacrificing too much on quality. Perfectly suited for general home use.
Good value and works well
Installation was easy. Both cartridges fitted properly and were recognised by the printer without any issues, which is always a good start.
The print quality is good for everyday use. Black text is clear and readable, and colours are decent for documents and general printing. For normal home use like school work or forms, it does the job well.
However, I do feel it’s not quite the same as the original Canon cartridges. Colours aren’t as rich and the print isn’t quite as sharp for more detailed images.
On the plus side, it’s better value for money, especially if you print regularly and don’t want to spend too much on originals.
