Really useful mini car fridge or warme
This car mini fridge is really good. It’s nice and lightweight but has good capacity and it’s nicely designed. It has a built-in lead and plug for a cigarette lighter socket in a car. There is also a separate port to plug in an AC 3 pin plug lead so you can power it from a wall socket as an alternative.
The interior is a wipe clean surface so it will be easy to keep clean. Likewise, the exterior is wipe clean and the carrying handle also works as a lock when in the rear position. It can then tuck away at the front when the box is open. The cigarette lighter lead and plug coil away nicely and fit in a slot at the top of the back of the cool box so it is not always dangling around when not in use. In operation the cooler cools down quickly even when empty in about 15 minutes and would cool down even faster if you put already cold items from the fridge into it. As an added bonus this cooler can also work as a mini warmer. Again it warms up quickly and would work well to keep food warm for a period of time. I think it would struggle to warm food from cold but if you put warm food in it, then it would keep it warm for a few hours until you want to consume it. It would for example be ideal for taking warmed food to a picnic or other outdoor eating event e.g. sausage rolls, quiche pizza or similar if already warmed up or cooked in an indoor oven before being put in the warmer. It is quite quiet in operation with just a faint whirr like a small fan when plugged in. In a quiet room it is noticeable but in a car on the move with road noise and engine noise you wouldn’t notice it.
Handy travel fridge thats more about convenience than powe
I’ve been using this on a few trips and it’s been really useful for keeping drinks cool on the go. It doesn’t chill things like a proper fridge, but it takes the edge off enough to make a difference, especially on longer drives. The warming function is a nice extra, though I’ve used that less often. It’s fairly quiet and easy to move around, which makes it practical for the car or even indoors. Capacity is decent for a small group, but it fills up quickly if you’re packing bulky items. Overall, it feels like good value for money if you want something portable and versatile, as long as you don’t expect fridge level cooling performance.
