Compact and versatile camping showe
I’ve owned a Spopal shower unit for almost 2 years and it’s worked great, so I was very interested in this new model, since it brings some features that I would find really helpful.
The shower comes with the following: A collapsible bucket with integrated pump, shower hose, shower head, shower hanger, USB-C charging cable, net style bag, instructions, a spare rubber washer, a small loofah, and a small faucet style metal tube.
The unit feels solid and well made. It has 2 LCD numeric displays, one for the water temperature and the other for the charge level. The temperature has a single digit resolution, while the charge indicator seems to jump in increments of 10%. The battery has a 13000mAh capacity, and the bucket holds 20 litres. It is also IPX8 rated, so it can withstand quite a bit of exposure to water.
There is a spare transparent rubber washer for the hose and shower head that is loose in the bag, so make sure to put it aside as it’s easy to lose when unpacking the set. The shower hose is a bit on the rigid side, but seems well made and very durable. The shower head is well made. It works really well and does spray with a good amount of pressure and spread. At the highest setting it’s very close to my home shower. There is also a valve on the handle to stop the water flow, and a knob on the back of the shower head to select between 3 spray patterns. The hose connects to the pump with a press fit connection, to remove the hose, you press down on the ring where the hose connects, and then it easily comes out.
The unit also comes with a metal faucet style adapter. You install the pipe into the same spot where the hose connects and you can set the unit at the edge of an outdoor table, and when you turn it on the water will come out like an RV faucet. There is a pause button on the panel so you can easily pause the water flow when using the faucet attachment since there is no valve on it.
I initially tested the unit out for the better part of the day using it for various tasks. I ran several tests to get an idea of the shower time, filling the 20L tank to the top. I then ran the pump with the shower until the tank was empty on the highest (5) and lowest (1) pump settings. At the highest setting with the shower head at maximum pressure and spray, the shower gets a 3 minutes and 20 seconds of run time. At the lowest setting with the shower head at maximum pressure and spray, the shower gets a 5 minutes and 30 seconds of run time. The battery loses 10% charge for using 4-5 buckets worth of water, so the batteries can run the shower for 40-50 total buckets or over 800 litres (210 gallons) of water and more than 4 hours of runtime total. With the various settings on the shower head it’s possible to get even more runtime for a full bucket, at the expense of water flow.
What makes this shower stand out is the larger battery capacity, the speed selection on the unit and the integrated bucket. The addition of the faucet to make it a sink also makes it really useful for even daytime outings. The unit folds into something that’s easily stored, and weighs only 2Kg making it easy to strap to a backpack for a camping trip. It can also be used on the lawn for tasks where a hose doesn’t reach.
The only issues I can see are the folding bucket will fold easily when it’s filled with warm water. The force needed to press the power button with will cause the bucket to collapse, because the rubber joints become very pliable when warm. You might need to place your hand either under the lid or on the side of the bucket on the joint when it’s filled with warm water when you press the button to turn it on. The pump is held down by a rivet and rubber washer in the bottom of the bucket. While I haven’t had any issues with it so far, I do question the longevity of this solution and having a leak issue in the future.
Decent shower pump
This portable shower has been an excellent addition to my camping gear, and I’ve been really impressed with its performance. The water pressure is surprisingly strong and steady, even when using it at a remote campsite with no nearby facilities. It delivers a consistent flow, which makes washing off after a long day outdoors feel much more effective and comfortable than I expected from a compact, battery-operated unit.
I used it after a long hike, and being able to rinse off with warm water that had been stored in a sun-heated bucket made the experience feel almost luxurious in a campsite setting. The warmth of the water combined with the strong, steady pressure made it feel like a proper shower, even in the middle of the wilderness.
The battery life is another highlight. It lasted for several full showers over an entire weekend without needing a recharge, which is perfect for multi-day trips. I didn’t have to worry about conserving power or limiting use, and the convenience of a reliable shower made the outdoor experience much more enjoyable.
Packing up and cleaning the unit was also straightforward. It is compact and lightweight, so it fits easily in my camping gear without taking up much space. The materials feel durable, and I didn’t experience any leaks during storage, which gave me confidence that it can withstand repeated use.
Overall, this portable shower is practical, reliable, and surprisingly effective. It combines strong water pressure, decent battery life, and ease of use in a compact design, making it perfect for camping trips, hikes, or any outdoor adventure where access to traditional shower facilities is limited. It has definitely made staying clean outdoors far easier and more comfortable.
Very well designed camping shower.
This is a very good camping shower, the design is well thought out and it takes up very little space when fully packed away.
I already own a much cheaper camping shower but this one is an improvement in almost every way, one thing that really impresses me is the rigid collapsible bucket, the bucket that came with my cheap shower was more like a strong bag and it wasn’t all that stable making it very easy to spill the contents. The bucket for the Spopal shower completely avoids this issue it is very sturdy and even has a lid making spillage almost impossible. It also features a couple of carry handles which feel fairly strong, the lid did manage to detach itself on one occasion but I found it easy to pop it back on again .
This shower has 5 different water pressure settings which easily beats the 2 that my old one had, I found that setting the pressure to 2 was just about right for me and it didn’t use up all the water too quickly, the shower head also features several different spray modes so there should be an option here that’s suitable for most people. The water temperature readout is a nice feature and it seems to be quite accurate, the maximum operational temperature for this shower is 60c which I think is more than adequate, I found that somewhere around 40c was perfect for me.
When fully collapsed the bucket takes up surprisingly little space but there is still room inside to fit all of the accessories that came with it ( shower head, hose, etc.), making this a very well thought out design.
The battery took several hours to fully charge when I first received this unit but it appears to use very little power when in use.
At 69.99 this shower is more than double the price of my old one, but given the numerous quality of life improvements that this one features I feel like the extra cost is justified, overall I am very impressed with this unit making it an easy recommendation.

Such a Practical Investment for Camping
The bucket is built from sturdy ABS plastic but folds down flat to about ten centimetres thick for storage. The pump drops right into the water and pushes a steady stream up through the shower head. You charge the battery system using the included Type-C cable before you leave.
I took this setup bush camping for three consecutive days. Hanging the shower head from a tree branch with the included hook made washing off the dirt straightforward. Holding twenty litres of water at once meant I could finish washing without stopping to refill the tub.
Une douche nomade pratique et bien pense
Je fais rgulirement du camping, donc j’tais clairement la recherche d’une solution de douche nomade pratique et je dois dire que celle-ci fait vraiment le job.
Dj, gros point positif : le format. Une fois plie, elle est compacte, facile ranger et ne prend quasiment pas de place dans le sac ou le coffre. C’est exactement ce qu’on attend pour du matriel de camping.
Le rservoir de 20L est bien pens, a permet d’avoir une autonomie correcte pour une vraie douche, sans devoir recharger ou remplir toutes les 2 minutes. La batterie tient bien aussi, et l’cran LED est un vrai plus pour garder un il sur le niveau.
Ct utilisation, les 5 niveaux de puissance sont apprciables. On peut adapter selon le besoin : rinage rapide, douche tranquille ou nettoyage un peu plus costaud (matriel, voiture, etc.). C’est polyvalent, et a se ressent.
Je prcise un point important : la douche ne chauffe pas l’eau. Perso, j’ajoute simplement de l’eau lgrement chaude avant utilisation, en faisant attention ne pas dpasser une temprature trop leve pour prserver la pompe. Et comme a, on a une douche franchement agrable mme en extrieur.
La certification IPX8 est rassurante, surtout en usage extrieur o on n’est pas toujours dans des conditions idales. Le systme est bien protg, a inspire confiance sur la dure.
Le kit fourni est complet et pratique : tuyau assez long, crochet pour suspendre, accessoires utiles tout est pens pour tre utilis facilement, que ce soit en camping, la plage…
Bref, une trs bonne surprise. Simple, efficace et vraiment adapte un usage nomade. Pour du camping rgulier comme moi, c’est clairement un bon investissement.

I bought this to replace a cheaper camping shower that had a flimsy bag-style bucket and limited settings, and the improvement across almost every aspect is noticeable.
The design is well thought out. Everything, including the 20 litre collapsible bucket, packs down and stores together as a single unit. The bucket is rigid rather than bag-like, which makes a practical difference when filling and using it as it stays stable and does not tip easily. It has a lid that clips on to prevent spillage during transport, a couple of carry handles and enough internal space to fit the shower head, hose and accessories when packed away. The whole setup weighs around 2kg, which is easy enough to throw in a car but worth noting if you are planning to carry it any distance on foot.
The pump has five flow settings ranging from a gentle spray to a stronger stream that gives a reasonable approximation of a proper shower. The shower head also has multiple spray modes, so you can adjust both the pressure and the pattern depending on whether you are rinsing off after a hike, washing a dog or cleaning muddy feet. The motor runs quietly and can be submerged directly into the bucket.
The LED display shows water temperature and remaining battery level simultaneously, which is genuinely useful. It is important to be clear that this unit does not heat water. You fill it with water at your chosen temperature and the display tells you what that temperature is, which helps avoid the water being too hot or too cold particularly for children. The operating range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
The 13,000mAh battery provides between 100 and 240 minutes of continuous use depending on the flow setting, which is enough for multiple showers over a weekend without needing to recharge. It charges via USB-C and the port has a silicone waterproof cap for protection.
One minor complaint is that the bucket handles flex under the weight of a full load and flap around loosely when packing, which is slightly annoying. A strap or elastic band around the packed unit keeps everything tidy, I have some silicone cable wraps that do the job, just need something to keep things in check.
At around 70 it costs more than basic alternatives, but the battery capacity, build quality and practical design make the difference in price easy to justify.
A Step Above the Rest!
My shower has been out of commission for quite a while, so every time I see one of these portable camping showers I try to get it. However, this one is unlike any of the other’s I have tried. Rather than the pump being a separate piece which is submerged into the bucket, the bucket is essentially the pump. It’s built into the bucket, but the charging port is not internal, it’s on the outside of the bucket, which may get splashed, but never fully underwater. That alone already tells me that this will last longer than any of my submersible pumps have in the past. Eventually what happens is water does leak into the battery and little by little the battery fails. I don’t see that being an issue with this bucket pump. The battery lasts longer than most, and the water pressure is impressive. This is definitely an upgraded design of the portable shower! The bucket is filly collapsible for space saving during storage, which is a huge plus! I have a similar one that included a bucket with a lid, but the bucket was designed more like a tank and takes up a lot of space, and is difficult to use. This also shows the temperature of the water, as well as battery life on the digital display on the top of the bucket. It only measures the temp, IT DOES NOT HEAT THE WATER. This is also great for outdoor cooking, and makes a great portable handwashing station. The fruit washing mode is yet just another added feature that makes this setup a few steps above the rest! The high capacity battery takes a few hours to fully charge, but it lasts for hours of showering/washing etc. If you.re looking for a durable, portable shower that will last, look no further, this is definitely the best one I have tried so far!
