Worth the extra price over cheaper options
I bought this and a similar $40ish spare carrier thinking they were going to be essentially the same. This $60 carrier is much better and worth the $15-20 difference. First, as you can see in the pics, the hardware is much better and more substantial. The cheaper kit is on the left/top, this kit right/bottom. The cheaper hook bolt is about a M8 vs M10 in this kit. This kit also comes with so many more mounting bracket options.

Excellent piece. Comes with a LOT of what I think is stainless steel hardware. The t nuts were a little wide for the slots in my bar, so I ordered some narrower ones and will update when I have it installed.

I was lucky to have 1/2″ P-clamps to use on my Thule while mounting the plate.
What you see in their photo are the P-clamps, but what they sent me was a different type with an integrated stud. All 4 studs snapped off the clamps during tightening.
P-clamps are the way to go, especially if you have a Thule basket.
