M62 traffic live: Yorkshire motorway closed after pile-up as vehicle in flames

Drivers have been urged to avoid the M62 in West Yorkshire following a four-vehicle collision.

West Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Drivers are urged to avoid the M62 at junction 30 this afternoon following a collision there.

"Police were called to junction 30 of the M62 Eastbound at 4.07pm this afternoon to a report of a collision involving four vehicles. Emergency services attended the scene at which all parties were out of vehicles involved and in a safe location. No life threatening injuries have been reported.

"A motorway closure is in place on the eastbound carriageway, with a partial closure westbound also.

Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes while police and fire officers manage the scene."
