M56 crash – motorcyclist in hospital with ‘serious injuries’

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "At around 3.35pm on Sunday 26 April, police were called to reports of a collision on M56 between junction 14 and 15. "The collision involved a motorcycle. "The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries."

(Image: Newsquest) Motorists reported road closures at the M56 junction yesterday evening, with one person reporting on social media they had seen a bike in the central reservation. National Highways said the incident was a "multiple vehicle crash".

"We saw a bike in the central reservation and it didn't look good, our thoughts go out to the biker and the family, hoping everyone is okay."

According to the RAC online traffic updates, the M56 has since been reopened between junctions 14 and 15.
