M48 vehicle fire blocks motorway road ahead of rush hour

A vehicle has caught fire on the M48, blocking the road to traffic.

The eastbound carriageway has been blocked by the incident from Aust.

Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "M48 Eastbound blocked, queueing traffic due to vehicle fire from J1 A403 (Aust) to M4 J21. Note change of details.

"Initially reported as broken down vehicle. The westbound carriageway has now reopened, with eastbound still closed."
