Much better than many CarPlay stereos I have installed before but it needed a lot of extra cables.
I’ve installed a few CarPlay stereos similar to this one and this is one of the better ones I have installed. It comes with a selection of cables but unfortunately it didn’t fit my car (Audi TT), even though it says it’s for all vehicles.
After I found the correct wiring harness and fascia on the web for another 25, I managed to install it successfully. There is usually a lot of messing about to configure these stereos, but after finding the Bluetooth setting, CarPlay was connected and music played from all speakers. I then discovered that I needed to buy a further connection to get the subwoofer to work so that’s going to have to wait for another (pay)day – until then, it will sound less bass’y. I also needed the right can-bus connection for my car in order to get my steering wheel controls to work too. I plugged in the reversing camera to test it worked and the quality was pretty good but for reference, you might need to access the unit’s factory settings menu which is via code 000000 (so quite easy to remember).
The quality of the screen’s display is excellent, and as it’s really big, so it’s ideal for maps on the sat-nav. The response time is also quite impressive with no lag I could see after button presses.
In terms of value for money, this stereo was 78.99 at the time of my review which is great value. It’s just unfortunate that it will almost certainly need a wiring harness, fascia and possibly a can-bus for whatever vehicle you’re installing it in. Even so, you’ll end up spending just over 100 in total which is still very good in my opinion. High end branded stereos such as Pioneer etc. would cost 400 or more.
Overall, I’m pleased with the stereo but I think the advert should be more honest with the parts you will need.

I installed this car stereo with the 9-inch screen in my car recently, and it’s been a nice upgrade from the original factory radio. The large display looks modern and makes everything easier to see, especially when using navigation or reversing with the HD backup camera.
Setting it up took a bit of time, but once installed the system runs smoothly. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work well for navigation, music, and calls, and the voice control feature is convenient when driving. The Bluetooth connection is stable and pairs quickly with a phone.
The GPS navigation and mirror link features are also useful if you want to display apps from your phone directly on the screen. The sound quality is noticeably better than my old stereo, and the system responds quickly thanks to the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with the upgraded processor.
Overall, it’s a good value upgrade for older vehicles, adding modern features like smartphone connectivity, a backup camera, and a large touchscreen. It really makes the car feel much more up to date.
