An excellent comms headset for a motorcycle helmet.Everything you need for your long motorbike rides
An excellent motorcycle helmet comms device with bluetooth and lots of extras.
In the box were the headset itself(very nicely boxed)with the mounting kits and various microphones and instruction booklet.
Once affixed to the helmet and in use I found that the comms side of things was crystal clear with no interruptions or other problems.It was easy to affix to my helmet,with very clear instructions on how to set it up.
Its voice assistant was easy to use,and music playabilty was excellent,with seamless connection via bluetooth to my phone.The FM radio was very easy to use on the fly and worked very well.
The fact thats its waterproof is really good with how unpredictable the weather can be lately.
The buttons on the headset themselves might take a little bit of time to get used to,but after a couple of hours on a ride I found them to be easy to use and fairly intuative in their postions on the headset itself.
The noise cancellation worked very well to keep exterior noise down whilst listening to music or on a call.
All in all,if your in the market for a helmet comms setup,you would do very well to consider this device.It just works well.
Clear sound, FM Radio, music sharing
In the kit you get the main Bluetooth headset, two sets of microphones for various setups, two decently sized headphone sizes speakers, with velcro sided adhesive tapes to apply to the helmet. I took my helmet home and spent less than 30 minutes to set it all up and it fits nicely without issue.
In the box comes with three extra “decoctive” shell covers to match with your bike, even though my bike isn’t red, it would have made sense to add a red over that green, in my opinion. More than likely red bikes than that green one. I personally prefer the silver.
More importantly this was easy to setup. Each plug has one kind of slot and after plugging in the headset which has an arrow indicating the direction, the microphone was obvious and it’s all done. The charging slot is the only one remaining.
The instructions manual is pretty convoluted with trying to get various languages all in the same pages, but once you make sense of what you’re reading it’s pretty simple. Once turning on and activating pairing mode, I instantly found “FODSPORTS T5” and it was ready to go.
It’s using AAC codec which makes the sound nice and clear. I like that it doesn’t have distracting RGB or something that makes this look tacky.
Great budget intercom, perfect as a second uni
I already use another brand for my main setup, though I needed a second unit for a pillion. Because of how my main system works, I couldn’t use mesh, so I needed something simple over Bluetooth. This fits that use case really well.
It connects without much fuss and means I don’t have to keep swapping my main comms system between helmets, which is a win on its own.
Sound quality is decent for the price. Don’t expect crystal clear audio, though for chatting while riding it does the job. The microphone surprised me though, the noise isolation is actually quite good, even at speed it picks up voice clearly.
Battery life seems solid so far, and the fact it charges via USB C is always appreciated. Easy to top up and you can even run it while charging if needed.
Build feels fine, not premium, though not cheap and nasty either. It sits somewhere in the middle which is fair given the price.
At 49.99 at the time of writing, I think it’s a fantastic option if you need a secondary unit or something budget friendly.
It’s not replacing my main system, though for what I needed it for, it works really well and saves a lot of hassle.
Decent comms and free color swapshard to complain for the price
I brought my helmet inside and managed to get this all rigged up without any major headaches; it fits snugly and doesn’t feel like a bulky afterthought. One of those “random but cool” inclusions is that you get three extra decorative shell covers in the box, so you can actually match the unit to your bike’s color scheme rather than just sticking with basic black. However, I have a red Triumph, and there is no red ?
On the road, the Bluetooth 5.4 tech keeps things stable, and while the 40mm speakers offer decent sound quality for the price, don’t expect a premium hi-fi experience; it’s more “commuter clear” than “audiophile immersive.” That said, the triple noise cancellation (CVC + ENC + DSP) is the real star here; the microphone’s isolation surprised me by keeping wind noise at bay even when things got faster. The music sharing is a brilliant touch for riding pillion, and the 30-hour battery life means you aren’t constantly hunting for a Type-C cable. If you do run low, you can actually charge it while riding, which is a massive win for long-haul trips.
