Great upgrade!
This product fits my 2008 Passat CC perfectly. The 7-inch screen size is just right, with crisp and sharp image quality. CarPlay connectivity is smooth and fast, and screen mirroring responds instantly. It also features two USB ports, allowing simultaneous charging and CarPlay connection without interference. Its performance is truly outstanding!
Works very well and perfect for Android Play
I had this fitted by a professionally fitter who said it was very easy and all that he needed to fit the head unit was supplied in the box. I’ve now gone from a old LCD one line radio display to a large modern head unit without buying a new car. Perfect for all my needs from android play and using maps as a satnav to listening to all my favourite radio stations and blue toothing my favorite playlists. Easy set up on setting your screen and I can download apps too.
Decent budget upgrade for an older vehicle
Having an older car with no Android Auto, this is a decent budget option to drag an older vehicle into the 21st Century!
Easy enough to fit to our 2009 Touran, just a case of taking your time to run any accessory cables neatly, most of the time spent is in neatly fitting the reverse camera, the basic unit fit would be very straight forward, with just a few connection plugs to attach, being a model specific unit.
There are two cable blocks supplied, just need to match up which one is required for your specific vehicle. The wring information is clear enough, including when to include the CANBUS box, depending on if the original screen displayed vehicle information.
The screen connected fine to my phone, bringing up Waze etc from the phone and displaying them on the clear screen. The screen is responsive enough to touch so that all works easily. The unit runs smoothly enough for most basic operations.
With the USB ports in the front of the unit and in the back, there are options to connect DAB dongles or other equipment as required. The addition of the remote is a useful extra.
Decent budget upgrade for an older vehicle, also good that it is visually similar to the original unit so keeps the interior of the car looking fairly ‘factory’
