Ideal for light car detailing at home.
I am not a professional detailer, but I wanted something cordless for applying wax and freshening up the paintwork on my car. For that kind of light use, this has worked well.
The cordless design makes it much easier to move around the car without dragging a cable across the panels. The variable speed control is useful, especially when spreading polish at lower speeds before increasing it slightly to work it in. It feels manageable in the hand and not overly heavy, even with the battery fitted.
The included pads and attachments cover the basics for waxing and light scratch removal. It is not aimed at deep paint correction, but for maintaining a good finish between more serious polishing sessions, it does the job.
Having two batteries included is a big plus. You can keep one charging while using the other, which makes it practical for completing the whole car without rushing.
For DIY users who want something convenient for routine car detailing rather than trade level correction work, this is a good choice.
Batteries last adequately
Detailing a car away from power outlets demands battery-operated tools. The machine feels surprisingly light, preventing arm fatigue when working on the roof. The two included batteries provide enough run time to polish an entire vehicle without stopping. The speed dial clicks solidly into different settings, giving good control over the spinning head. The motor bogs down slightly if too much downward pressure is applied, meaning the machine does best with light surface buffing. The supplied sponge pads wear out quite fast, tearing at the edges after catching on sharp panel gaps. The hook and loop backing plate holds the attachments firmly, never throwing a pad off during use. Removing light surface scratches on the bonnet worked perfectly with a mild cutting compound. It lacks the raw power of a corded machine, but the freedom of having no cables dragging across the paintwork makes washing the car much easier.
