Great Value, Solid Print Quality, and a Reliable Alternative to OEM Ink
I decided to try these compatible PG540XL and CL541XL highyield cartridges as a cheaper alternative to Canon’s originals, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well they perform. If you print regularly but don’t want to pay premium prices for OEM ink, these are a strong option.
    What’s Good
    * Impressive value for money: The price difference compared to genuine Canon cartridges is huge, and for everyday printing, these hold up really well.
    * Crisp black text: The PG540XL black cartridge produces sharp, clean text that’s perfectly fine for documents, forms, and schoolwork.
    * Vibrant colours: The CL541XL colour cartridge delivers bright, consistent colours—maybe not professionalphoto quality, but absolutely good enough for casual prints.
    * Highyield that actually lasts: I’ve been getting a solid number of pages out of each cartridge, definitely more than the standardcapacity versions.
    * Easy installation: They click into place just like the originals, and my printer recognised them without any error messages.
    Things to Consider
    * Photo printing isn’t OEMlevel: Colours are good, but if you’re printing highdetail photos, you’ll still notice a difference compared to genuine Canon ink.
    * Occasional alignment tweaks: I had to run the printer’s alignment tool once after installing, but it was quick and fixed the issue.
    Final Verdict
If you want to cut your printing costs without sacrificing everyday quality, these compatible PG540XL and CL541XL cartridges are a smart buy. They’re reliable, longlasting, and deliver more than enough quality for documents, homework, and general colour printing. A great budgetfriendly alternative.

    Great replacement inks
There were no error messages at all when the cartridges were inserted, and they slotted straight in just like the original ones. The fit was perfect in my home office printer, with no adjustments needed and absolutely no hassle during installation.

I really like that the pack comes as a complete set with both black and colour cartridges included, which is very convenient and good value for money. It means I don’t have to worry about sourcing individual cartridges separately.

I mainly use black ink for everyday printing, but I’ve noticed that when the black cartridge runs low, the printer smoothly mixes the colour inks to continue producing black prints. This happens without any noticeable impact on colour quality or print clarity, which is great for maintaining consistent results.

Overall, the cartridges perform exactly as expected, work seamlessly with my printer, and deliver reliable, high-quality prints. So far, I’m very pleased with the performance and would happily use them again.

    Black ink dries fas
Peeling the protective tape off the copper contacts is tricky, and getting ink on my thumb happened immediately. Pushing the cartridges into the carriage requires a hard click to lock them securely into place. The printer software registered them instantly, showing full ink levels on the computer screen. Printing standard word documents produces thick, legible black text that dries instantly without smudging under a highlighter pen. Colour documents are a different story; printing heavily saturated graphics leaves the paper feeling damp for several minutes. The colours look slightly muted compared to the original factory ink, especially the vibrant reds and bright yellows. Running a nozzle cleaning cycle was necessary right out of the box because the first test page showed blank horizontal gaps. The high capacity tanks last substantially longer during my weekly admin tasks, stopping the constant panic of running out mid-document. The plastic casing clicks into the holding brackets firmly without rattling during rapid print jobs.

PG-540XL CL-541XL High Yield Ink Cartridges Replacement for Canon

I own a Canon Pixma TS5151, and the original ink cartridges carry a larger price tag to the extent that just buying the Black ink as the XL size is 9.50 less than this combo, on the official store. To get the 2 cartridges, you have to buy separately as you can’t get them together. However, I digress, This pack is very good value for money. There is always the issue that an unknown cartridge could cause conflict with your printer. But I’m happy to report that in this instance there were no such conflicts. Changing was straightforward, I did notice a strong alcohol type smell when I took it out of the pack. But it installed with no problems and as you can see from my awful 70’s carpet, colours are reproduced faithfully. So these are good quality at a great price. Would recommend.

    Good value ink
I recently picked up a set of compatible ink cartridges—PG-540XL in black and CL-541XL in color—for my Canon Pixma printer, and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed! First off, they arrived well-packaged and completely sealed, which made me feel good about avoiding any leaks.

Installation was a breeze. Each cartridge was clearly labelled and had a protective strip that was easy to remove. The build quality seemed solid, with no rough edges, and they slid right into the printer without any hassle. I was pleased to find that my printer recognized them immediately, and I was able to print a test page right away.

The test page looked fantastic—crisp and clear, with no blurring or missed lines. Printed several pages off since then and still hard to see any difference from originals. They claim to be good for about 300 pages. As with anything this is based on 5% coverage so mileage will vary, however in my experience replacement cartridges do have more ink than expensive originals.

If you’re looking to save some money on ink without sacrificing quality, these cartridges are definitely worth considering!
