No, as long as a UK double pole socket is available, no installation is required to use the EV charging cable. Whether at home or on the road.
How do I select the current when using the charger?
Higher amps lead to faster charging but also generate more heat in the socket.
13A: For emergency charging while traveling.
10A: For regular home use. Use 8A or 6A if other devices are running.
6A/8A: Best for safe overnight charging.
