M5 traffic halted after lorry crash at key motorway junction
Motorists faced delays on the M5 this afternoon, Thursday, April 3, after a lorry crash[1]. Traffic was held following a collision on the M5 at its junction with the M49, near the Avonmouth Spur. Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, a lorry involved on M5 northbound at M49.
Held around 12.45, heading towards Avonmouth. In an update at 1.03pm, Inrix reported: "Accident cleared on A4 Avonmouth Spur westbound from M49 to St Brendans. The extent of the crash is not clear at this time.
Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
