Glasgow bus services disrupted amid police incident on M8
Stagecoach West Scotland said they are currently experiencing delays on its X19 service from Easterhouse in the East End[1] to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital[2] in the Southside[3] due to an emergency incident on the major motorway. We reported how Traffic Scotland said the motorway's eastbound carriage at Junction 12 is currently shut between the slips. We've currently got delays on our X19 service to & from Easterhouse & the QEUH due to a Police incident on the M8.

Meanwhile, Glasgow City Council[7] has also said Cumbernauld[8] Road is shut between Gartloch Road and northbound at Riddrie Knowes due to the incident as well. Currently, it is unknown if anyone has been injured during the incident.
The exact nature of the incident is also unclear. Due to the ongoing situation, drivers are being urged to follow the police diversion which has been put in place. NEW??12:45
