Man taken to hospital after crash involving lorry on M6 near Stafford

An ambulance and two paramedic officers were called to the collision on the southbound carriageway between J14 at Stafford and J13 at Dunston at around 3.40am on Thursday (March 13). A West Midlands Ambulance Service [1]spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found a man who they treated for minor injuries before conveying him to New Cross Hospital." Two lanes remain closed due to the recovery of the lorry involved[2] in the crash.

National Highways[3] said at around 6.45am Lanes 1 and 2 were still shut, while Lanes 3 and 4 were opened. At around 8am, it said there was delays of 40 minutes.
In a later update just before 10am, motorists were warned of delays of an hour and five miles of traffic on approach to the crash.
