Major Essex A-road closed after lorry crash

A major Essex A-road was closed after a lorry crash on Tuesday afternoon (March 11). The crash was first reported at around 3.20pm. Part of the road was closed between J12 A1023 Chelmsford Road (Mountnessing/Shenfield) and M25 J28 (Brentwood/Brook Street Roundabout).

Severe delays were reported. A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a three vehicle collision on the A12 at 3.20pm on 11 March. It was reported to involve a lorry and two cars near Junction 11.

"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us. Please quote incident 699 of 11 March." Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and East of England Ambulance Service also attended.
