M62 experiencing delays near Rochdale after crash’s spillage

A spillage, caused by a crash on a major Greater Manchester motorway is causing congestion this evening. The incident on the M62 led to two lanes being closed, as well as a slip road on the A627 (M), which has since re-opened. A National Highways[1] spokesperson said: "J20 eastbound exit slip for the A627M is now open.
"Two lanes (of three) remain closed on the M62 west near Rochdale between J21 Newhey & J20 due to a spillage from the collision. "Specialist equipment is en route. "Delays of up to 60 minutes & approx.
6 miles congestion on approach."
