M6 crash between lorry and car leaves two in hospital

Two men were taken to hospital following an early-morning crash between a lorry an a car on the M6 in Staffordshire. Paramedics were sent to the northbound carriageway following the collision near Stone at 6am this morning (February 6). The driver and passenger in the car were taken to Stafford's County Hospital for injuries not believed to be serious.

The trucker was ot hurt. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman[1] said: "We were called shortly after 6am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on the M6 north, nearby to the entrance to Stafford services in Stone. Two ambulances attended the scene.

Upon arrival we found two men who were the driver and passenger in the car. "Both were assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. They received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Stafford County Hospital for further assessment.

The driver of the lorry did not require treatment from ambulance staff."
