M25 crash involving lorry and cars caused major delays

A crash involving a number of vehicles led to two lanes being closed on the M25 this morning (February 26), causing long delays for drivers. One woman was rushed to hospital as a result of the collision. It was reported that two cars and a lorry were involved in the crash, affecting lane one of the motorway heading anticlockwise.

The incident was between the M11 interchange at junction 28, leading to A12 and the Brentwood/Brook Street roundabout and junction 27 to the M11 interchange, causing traffic to slow. Congestion at the junction was formed after traffic bottlenecked, as two lanes remained closed. Commuters were being held, causing delays on M25 in rush hour on the anticlockwise carriageway.
