A14 reopens after crash between lorry and van

A major road that was closed after a serious collision between a lorry and a van has reopened.

Northamptonshire Police said the incident on the A14 took place between Welford and the M1 interchange at Catthorpe on Wednesday just after 21:00 GMT.

The force previously said the stretch was likely to be closed for some time and drivers were advised to find an alternative route.

The road was reopened in both directions on Thursday morning.
