A14 lorry crash at Stowmarket and Haughley closes road for hours

A busy road was shut for about eight hours after a collision involving a lorry and car.
Emergency services were called to the A14 westbound carriageway, between junction 50, for Stowmarket, and junction 49, for Haughley in Suffolk, at 23:41 GMT on Thursday.
National Highways put a diversion in place while Suffolk Police carried out investigation work.
The road reopened at about 07:30 and drivers were urged to allow extra time in case of residual delays.
