Tyre specialist adds Isuzu 7.5-tonners to busy fleet

Stapletons Tyre Services, a national tyre distributor, has started adding 30 brand-new Isuzu N75.190(E) trucks to its fleet, staying loyal to Isuzu's 7.5-tonne range. This commitment dates back to 2007 when the company switched from another manufacturer.

The new trucks, featuring 18-foot custom box bodies designed by Essex Bodies, are replacing older Isuzu models. These specialized bodies are tailored to handle both tyre deliveries and casing collections for Stapletons' recycling programme, maximizing load capacity.

Nick Cooper, head of group vehicles at European Tyre Enterprises, Stapletons' parent company, said: "When the time comes to order new trucks for our 7.5-tonne fleet, we survey the market to see what is available, but every time we come to the same conclusion - nothing beats what Isuzu has to offer.

From the outstanding payload and superb reliability, right through to the customer support we receive, it's an obvious choice."

The trucks come with a six-year full R&M contract and are backed by Isuzu Truck UK's Customer CARE programme, which ensures any servicing, maintenance, or MoTs are handled by the nearest authorised dealers.

"The level of support we get is superb," Cooper said. "If we ever have an issue, we take the vehicle to whichever Isuzu Truck dealer is closest, safe in the knowledge that the service we receive will be top tier."

These trucks join Stapletons' 1300-strong mixed fleet, running six days a week and expected to cover 400,000 miles over six years.
