M25: Stretch of motorway reopens after lorry crash in Surrey

Lanes two, three and four of the anti-clockwise carriageway needed resurfacing due to a diesel spill, while lanes three and four of the clockwise carriageway were also closed to allow the central reservation to be replaced.

Traffic was being diverted onto the A240 and the A217.

National Highways said the lorry had "struck the central reservation and come to rest sideways across the carriageway".

There were no injuries and Surrey Police allowed traffic caught behind the accident to use a single lane to go through.

The lorry has been recovered from the scene.
