Drivers urged to avoid busy Braintree roundabout after lorry crash
Officers were at the scene of a collision involving a lorry at the at Marks Farm Roundabout in the early hours of the morning. One driver said it seems the lorry went "straight over the top" of the roundabout. A man was taken to hospital for treatment, though his injuries are not life-threatening.
The force say it is likely nearby roads will be impacted throughout the afternoon while complex recovery work continues. Impact - A man has been taken to hospital for treatment while recovery work continues (Image: Brett Reeves) A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a lorry at Marks Farm Roundabout, connecting the A131 and A120 at Braintree, shortly before 2.20am on Friday 24 January. "A man was taken on to hospital for further treatment for injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing.
"Impact on the nearby road network is likely throughout the afternoon while complex and specialist recovery work continues.
"Drivers are urged to avoid the area if at all possible."
