A127 blocked after car and lorry reportedly crash causing severe delays

A crash involving a car and lorry has reportedly blocked a busy road causing severe delays. There has been a crash involving the two vehicles on the A127 Southend Arterial Road Eastbound at around 11:12am, according to AA road maps. There is slow traffic in the area between the M25 Junction 29 Romford/Basildon and the A128 Tilbury Road Halfway House roundabout.

A driver at the scene told the Echo there are queues stretching from near Laindon all the way to the Dunton slip road. They confirmed emergency services are at the scene. A spokesperson for AA road maps said: "Road blocked and slow traffic due to crash, a car and a lorry involved on A127 Southend Arterial Road Eastbound from M25 J29 (Romford / Basildon) to A128 Tilbury Road (Halfway House roundabout)."

"There are delays of seven minutes and delays easing on A127 Southend Arterial Road Eastbound between M25 J29 (Romford / Basildon) and Childerditch Hall Drive."
