One person dead after Herefordshire lorry crash

Police, paramedics, and fire crews were called at around 1am this morning (December 16), to the A4103 at Yarkhill. A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said that on arrival, crews found two vehicles on fire. "Sadly, it quickly became clear the driver of the car could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.

"The driver of the lorry, a man, was already out of the vehicle when crews arrived. "He was treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital." ALSO READ:

A spokesperson for the fire service said that crews were called to the busy A-road, which connects Hereford and Worcester, and found that two vehicles had been "destroyed" by fire.

The road remains closed this morning.
