Decarbonisation freight specialist FSEW is celebrating a significant milestone. Today the business is officially diesel free boasting a 40 strong fleet that consists of five electric trucks and 35 CNG fuelled trucks after taking delivery of four additional CNG Iveco S Ways, using 100% biomethane. Five years ago, Geoff Tomlinson, MD at FSEW, set a target to make his fleet diesel free by 2025.
Today Cardiff-based FSEW is revolutionising the intermodal freight industry by offering end to end freight decarbonisation solutions for clients globally, helping accelerate their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint across all modes of freight transportation. Geoff Tomlinson, Managing Director at FSEW explains: "The arrival of four new CNG fuelled Iveco S-Ways means we've achieved our target of becoming diesel free. I'm incredibly proud of every member of our team at FSEW who have worked together to make this happen.
Since we introduced our alternative fuelled vehicles in March 2022 we've completed over 8.5million miles incorporating 284,214 EV miles, 6,564,841.33 CNG miles and rail miles 1,651,650. We're proud to run an all arctic fleet with a mix of 4x2 and 6x2 tractor units, with 5 electric trucks alongside 35 CNG fuelled trucks. This is a significant step forward for us removing over 8.5million diesel miles off the road. One of the main routes we use through Cardiff has four schools.
Making the roads cleaner for the future generations is critical and we're playing our part in trying to achieve this.
We can't do it on our own though and I'm committed to sharing our journey with the freight sector and help make this the norm."
