Three vehicles hit in M4 J16 crash as police issue update

The crash, which is believed to have taken place just before midday, brought traffic on junction 16 of the M4 westbound, between Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon[1], to a temporary halt on Tuesday, November 5. Wiltshire Police officers who attended the scene closed on lane on the entry slip road at Royal Wootton Bassett, and National Highway traffic cameras showed vehicles queueing to get onto the roundabout. Traffic was particularly worse for those joining the motorway from Royal Wootton Bassett, but the crash did not have an effect on traffic through the rest of the town.

"Just passed there and there's a van on the left side and a car further down but looks open to get on the motorway. Police are still there," said on eyewitness. Flash Sale!?
