Severe delays on M25 in south Essex as lorry left ‘off road into trees’ after crash
There are severe delays on the M25 in south Essex after traffic was held due to a crash which has left a lorry off the road. National Highways say one lane is closed on the M25 clockwise between J29 Upminster, and J30 Aveley. This is following a crash involving a lorry that has left the carriageway into trees.
The traffic was initially held across all four lanes for around ten minutes, causing severe disruption. Three lanes are now back open and recovery are on the scene. A spokesman for National Highways said: "Lane one of four is closed on the M25 clockwise, due to a collision involving a lorry that has left the carriageway.
"Recovery is on scene.
There are 35 minute delays above normal travel time so please allow extra journey time."
