Motorcyclist, 33, killed in crash involving lorry on A4 Bath Road
A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash involving a lorry on A4 in Keynsham. Emergency services were called to Bath Road shortly before 8.30am today (Monday). The incident, between the Hicks Gate and Broadmead roundabouts, involved a motorcycle and a lorry.
The biker, a 33-year-old man, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. "Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene", a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said. Adding: "Our thoughts are with his family and they are being supported by a specially trained officer.
"The road was closed in both directions between the two roundabouts to allow collision investigators to examine the area but has since reopened.
