Man dies after crash with lorry on major road

A man has died following a crash[1] between a car and a lorry on a major Lincolnshire road. The incident, which took place on the A17 near Leadenham on Friday, November 1, involved a silver Seat Alhambra and a heavy goods vehicle. The man driving the Seat, aged 39, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Police[2] say his next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the HGV suffered minor injuries. Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the crash which took place between the villages of Leadenham and Brant Broughton just after 2pm. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Investigators in the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not already spoken to police, or anyone who may have any dashcam that is relevant to the enquiry.
